We’re excited to chat with Kingsley Osajie about I Am in LOVE with Buddha. Check out our conversation below.
Kingsley, it’s so good to be connecting again, this time to discuss one of your favorite books. So – let’s jump right in, can you tell us about I Am in LOVE with Buddha – what should our readers know about this book?
For anyone who seeks to liberate themselves from the shackles and cage of religion. It is highly recommended that you read this book. This is a personal development/spirituality book. It is capable of raising your consciousness to a higher dimension. What you will get from this book is consciousness revolution and becoming the best version of yourself. Contained in this book is the life story and teachings of Siddartha Gautama (famously known as Buddha). After leaving Jehovah’s Witness in 2013, I began to explore Spirituality—Eastern philosophy and Eastern Spirituality. The more I explored it the more I found wisdom, truth and knowledge. I began to have a better understanding about life and the world. Which is why is I fell in LOVE with the Buddha—for his wisdom is so ADORABLE. My love for Eastern Spirituality and Philosophy is boundless.
Buddha is an Emissary of Light. He came from the Realms of Light and Love to assist Humanity in awakening to their Higher Self and become one with the Divine. Buddha is a colleague and counterpart of Jesus Christ. As you know, Jesus Christ is from the East: Asia and Buddha is from the East: Asia. The central focus of Buddhism is Compassion, oneness with Divine, personal development and Goodness.
What I believe strongly is that the world needs more compassion. Like Albert Schweitzer so eloquently puts it: “Until compassion is spread to all living creations; humanity will never find peace.”
Great, so maybe you can get into a bit more detail about why this book feels relevant to you and perhaps you can touch on any lessons or insights that resonated with you?
This book matters because it is important for people to achieve their Buddha-Nature (that means living in higher consciousness). If you know the damage religion to the masses you will know what I mean. Religion is another form of colonialism and brainwashing. What resonates with me is the fact that Buddha is an epitome of Compassion. And compassion is a very expensive quality that everyone does not have. The importance of this book cannot be overemphasized because it teaches us to connect with our Divine Nature. Also, in the process of connecting with our Divine Nature there is something called “The Buddha and the Badass. That means being a gentle like a dove and wise as a serpent. Part of my reason I wrote this book is based on my love for the Buddha, my passion and compassion for humanity. I really want humanity to live with a higher consciousness. Because a mind stretched by new knowledge can never go back to its prior form.
Can you talk to us about how the topics in the book relate to your lived experience – either professionally or personally?
The topics in the book I can relate to professionally and personally is attachment. When I first read Buddha say that “attachment is the root of suffering I did not understand it until I have to live through that reality and have a taste of it. Which is why I no longer attach to things. Because attachment, desperation and neediness are truly repellant energy. Attachment. Detachment is a quality everyone should master. I did not get to the understanding of detachment easily. I faltered many times before I got it right. The way attachment works is that it keeps you in a scarcity reality, removes your peace of mind, gives you anxiety, depression, worry, fear and mental stress which is equals to suffering. Attachment works with fear and not faith. For example, if you have make a request to God you do not start calculating or deciding how it is going to manifest. That one is God business to sort out. Your job is to just believe that God will work it out in His own ways. Detachment works with faith and trust that God has your back and that everything is working out fine. Detachment is surrendering with Divine plan and will. Like our Beloved Mother; Mother Meera has told us to make it a habit to ask the Divine for everything.
Having mastered the art of detachment I found out that when you are in a detachment mode; you literally activates your vibrations to manifest faster. You become more enticing to what you want to manifest to show up. But when you attached to the outcome you are pushing what you want farther away from you. When you detached, the Universe will see that you have faith and with a speed of light what you are desiring to have will speedily start gravitating and vibrating towards you.
The place of detachment cannot be overemphasized. Attachment has soured many relationships; that is why they say: if you love someone set them free. If you get too attached to someone you become an inconvenience to them. Hence the saying that over familiarity brings contempt. And I am very sure you do not want anyone to hold you in contempt.
Have you read other books that are similar to this one and if so, what are those books and what did you like or find interesting about those?
Yes. I read a lot about Buddha from other spiritually awakened people during my spiritual awakening and even now. There is similarity and harmony with my book. I have read about a blog called Tiny Buddha, 7 Laws of Spiritual Success and so much more!
