Priya, thanks for joining us again, we really appreciate you sharing your thoughts and insights about A Court of Rose & Thorns. Let’s start with a quick summary to bring everyone up to speed. (Spoiler Alert)
Imagine another version of Beauty & the Beast, only spicer & filled with more plot twists. A Court of Thorns and Roses is the first book in a young adult fantasy series by Sarah J. Maas.

Meet Fayre Archeron, a 19-year-old huntress who discovers the world of the fairies. Fayre kills a wolf that turns out to be a shape-shifting faerie. Plot twist, she is then kidnapped by Tamlin (Cue Beast vibes) a High Fae and the High Lord of the Spring Court. Feyre is then forced to choose between living in the human world or in the land of Faerie.

Wonderful, so can you talk to us in more detail about why this book resonates with you?
I grew up on Harry Potter & Disney movies. Fantasy, although always seemed hard to get into, allows you to build a world you can escape your reality in.

I began this series at a weird time in my life, it was recommended from a friend. The book became my safe haven, filling my nights with joy, laughter, rage, & also adding some classy spicy scenes.

Were there any twists or surprises that caught you off guard?
The plot twist from the end of the first book to the second book, I did not see coming! Sarah J. Mass did an amazing job allowing you to fall for a character, only to find out he’s the real villain in Fayres story.

Have you read other books from Sarah J. Mass? If so, which others do you recommend and can you tell us a bit about those?
I completed the whole series, impatiently waiting for the new book to come out! As far as other books written by Sarah J. Mass, I am currently on book 3 of her Throne of Glass series-which I think I’m loving more than the other series!! She’s a very talented writer.
