Meet Kait Boisnard

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kait Boisnard. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kait below.

Kait , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

All my life, I’ve needed to be in the midst of creating something. When I was young, I’d spend hours cutting out magazine pages or sketching my imaginary shoe line, even though I was never ‘good’ at drawing. The need to express myself artistically has shape-shifted over the years through different modalities. However, it wasn’t until I found floral design that I understood how I could channel this passion into something meaningful.

For me, purpose is about pursuing a calling that not only fulfills me but also contributes to others lives in a real way. Every day, I’m motivated by creating bespoke designs that feel authentic to my brand and also bring joy to my clients. Especially for my couples who hire me for their Wedding Florals – I’m proud to know I can contribute to making their special day memorable.

That’s what keeps me driven and purposeful.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a floral designer specializing in luxury weddings and events in SoCal and beyond. I specialize in romantic in whimsical arrangements that are personalized to my client’s vision.

The most exciting aspect of my work is the ability to transform a space into a breathtaking experience—curating unique floral combinations, elevating traditional designs and infusing every detail with meaning. What sets my brand apart is the focus on refinement and personalization – beyond just the floral arrangements themselves. From client touchpoints to thoughtful florals in the bridal suite, every interaction is designed to make couples feel celebrated in a way that is both elegant and deeply personal.

As my brand continues to grow, I’m excited to push creative boundaries and bring even more elevated floral experiences to my clients. The 2025 wedding industry forecast is really fun right now and that gets me excited! Couples are moving away from tradition in favor of intimate, bold aesthetic choices and high-impact celebrations that reflect their unique personalities. I can’t wait to use my artistic expression to help realize meaningful, immersive wedding experiences for my clients. Overall, 2025 is shaping up to be a busy year for me – especially the Fall (select dates still available for Winter) and I’ve got some projects I’m scheming up.

Whether it’s sourcing funky blooms, learning from other talented professionals or refining the luxury experience I offer – my goal is always to surprise and delight!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Reflecting on my experience so far, there are three qualities that have been most impactful.

The floral industry is unpredictable—whether it’s supply chain challenges, evolving trends or the pressure of high-stakes events. Learning to pivot and problem-solve creatively is essential. For newcomers, embrace every challenge as a lesson. The most successful creatives aren’t just talented; they’re adaptable. My ability to be resilient has come in handy many times over.

The second thing working for me is my interest in all aesthetics – art, fashion, architecture, etc. – not just flowers. Luxury is about how people feel, not just what they receive. My advice? Pour over magazines, get outside, go to museums. Write down your experience as a viewer. What do you feel? How does the ‘everyday’ inspire you? There is inspiration all around us and we don’t need to look at Instagram or Pinterest to find it.

Last is my drive. I am so passionate about what I do and I want to be exceptional in this space. Become obsessed. Become obsessed with the process. This ties in with another piece of advice I want to give. Practice your craft! Play around and experiment on a weekly basis. Invest in your skills. Ultimately, this will help you cultivate your own style and identity.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is far and away my favorite book and one that has played an important role in my development. I think it’s a must read for creatives, entrepreneurs or someone about to embark down a new path. My copy is dogeared and every other page is underlined because there are so many beautiful nuggets of wisdom.

Simply put – this book is about trusting the journey that will lead you to your life’s purpose.

It’s explores themes of destiny and growth —ideas that resonate deeply with me as an entrepreneur and creative. I read it twice a year—once around Christmas, as a reflection on the past year and the path ahead. Then, I usually read it again in the summer while on vacation, when I have the space to dream and realign. Each time, I discover new wisdom that fuels my journey.
