Meet Tracy Guiteau

We were lucky to catch up with Tracy Guiteau recently and have shared our conversation below.

Tracy, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from deeply rooted places in my identity and my journey. As the first daughter of Haitian parents, I carry the weight and honor of their sacrifices and dreams. Haiti’s history is one of strength and perseverance, and I see myself as an extension of that legacy. I’ve only been given one life, one try, and I’m determined to make it count.

Now, as a mother, I know my actions speak louder than words. I’m not just living for myself—I’m a living example for my children. Since my mom and grandmother passed, I feel I represent their lives, their lessons, and their battles. I don’t take that lightly. Every value they instilled in me and every struggle they overcame fuels my determination.

I’ve seen how trials can cripple people, how defeat can take root when it’s left unchecked. But I’ve also learned that nothing good comes from staying in that space. So every day, I push forward—for myself, for those who look like me, for mothers, for women, for creatives, and for anyone who just wants to try one more time. I push for my children and for the person who needs that one last sign to keep going.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Art has always been my first love, but real estate has been a close second! From an early age, I was captivated by the world of homes and design. My parents would often drive along the mansions in Miami or attend open houses, and I loved the idea of discovering and decorating a space to call home. That passion never left me. Even as I grew older, my timeline feed was filled with everything home-related—shows like “Fixer Upper”, “Selling Tampa”, “Dream Home Makeover”, “Married to Real Estate”, “Million Dollar Listings”, and many more fueled my excitement.

Now, as a Real Estate Assistant at Ambassador Financial Services in Delray Beach, Florida, I’m finally stepping closer to this lifelong dream, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m also currently pursuing my real estate license to further solidify my place in this field.

What makes this journey even more fulfilling is that my “why” is deeply connected to my creative passion. Both art and real estate allow me to tell stories, create beauty, and inspire people to see the potential in spaces and in life.

As I navigate this exciting phase, I’m grateful for the opportunity to align my artistic roots with my growing real estate journey. I look forward to seeing how these two passions will evolve together. I Thank God for this stage of my life and I’m excited for what’s ahead!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey: resilience, creativity, and adaptability.

Resilience has been the foundation of everything I’ve accomplished. As the first daughter of Haitian parents and now a mother myself, I’ve carried the lessons and sacrifices of my family with me. Life hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve learned to push forward for myself, my children, and others who need to see what perseverance looks like. My advice to others: don’t let challenges define you. See them as opportunities to grow and prove to yourself that you’re capable of more than you imagined.

Creativity has always been my superpower. Whether through my art or envisioning new ways to approach challenges, creativity allows me to bring unique perspectives to the table. For those just starting their journey, I’d say nurture your creativity, even if it doesn’t seem immediately practical. The ability to think outside the box will set you apart, no matter the field.

Adaptability has been equally important. Life has taken me on many paths – artist, web designer, marketer, real estate assistant and each one has added something valuable to my journey. Being open to change has allowed me to grow and discover new passions, like real estate. To those early in their journey: don’t be afraid to pivot. Each step teaches you something and brings you closer to your purpose.

Ultimately, success is about staying true to yourself while being open to learning and evolving. Focus on building skills that align with your passions, embrace challenges as part of the process, and never stop believing in your ability to grow.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed, I take a step back and remind myself to breathe. It’s easy to get lost in the chaos, but I’ve learned that pausing is powerful. I pray, journal, or meditate to reconnect with my purpose and ground myself in gratitude. Prayer, especially, reminds me that I’m not alone in my journey and that there’s a greater plan at work.

I also lean on creativity as a form of release. Whether it’s sketching, painting, or even jotting down ideas, expressing myself through art helps me process emotions and regain clarity. Sometimes, I simply spend time with my children, which brings me joy and perspective—they remind me why I’m working so hard in the first place.

My advice for others: prioritize self-care and find what works for you to reset—whether that’s mindfulness, movement, or doing something you love. Break things down into manageable steps and focus on one thing at a time. Remember, you’re only human, and it’s okay to ask for help or take a moment to recharge. Overwhelm is temporary; your resilience will carry you through.
