Meet Irakli Khizanishvili

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Irakli Khizanishvili. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Irakli below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Irakli with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I get my work ethic from my father. Growing up, he was the kind of person who believed in showing up fully—whether it was for work, family, or even the smallest commitments. He used to say, “How you do everything is how you do anything,” and those words have stuck with me.

Watching him, I learned that work ethic isn’t just about putting in long hours; it’s about consistency and discipline. It’s waking up every day, rain or shine, and doing what needs to be done, even when no one is watching. He never cut corners, never made excuses, and always carried himself with pride, no matter the task at hand.

That mindset became a blueprint for how I approach everything in my life, especially my business. Whether it’s laying out a plan for a big project or following up on the smallest details, I remind myself that excellence isn’t a switch you turn on when it’s convenient—it’s a habit. Discipline breeds trust, and consistency builds results.

Every time I hit a challenge or feel the pull to cut corners, I think of him. I remember his example, and it pushes me to keep my standards high. Work ethic, I’ve learned, is less about talent and more about showing up with the same commitment, day in and day out. That’s what he taught me, and that’s how I try to live.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

At Proslit Tile & Stone, we pride ourselves on more than just craftsmanship—we’re dedicated to constantly innovating and finding new ways to elevate quality in the industry. My focus has always been on integrating cutting-edge technologies and improving processes to ensure that everything we deliver reflects the highest standards.

One of the things I find most exciting about what we do is the intersection of traditional skill and modern technology. Tile and stonework have been around for centuries, but there’s something special about using new tools and techniques to push the boundaries of what’s possible. For example, we’ve recently partnered and become Certified Fabricators with FreePower, an incredible technology designed to revolutionize efficiency and precision in fabrication. This partnership allows us to stay ahead of the curve and ensure that our clients are getting the best solutions available.

I’m always on the lookout for how we can improve the day-to-day operations at Proslit Tile & Stone, whether that means streamlining processes, adopting innovative tools, or working with people who share our vision for quality and excellence. It’s not just about the work itself—it’s about building something sustainable and forward-thinking, while maintaining the integrity and attention to detail that our clients expect.

We’re excited for what’s next. With FreePower and other advancements in the pipeline, we’re not just adapting to industry changes—we’re helping shape them. Whether it’s a small renovation or a large-scale project, our goal is always the same: to create spaces that inspire, while pushing the limits of what tile and stonework can achieve.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been instrumental in my journey: consistency, adaptability, and resilience. These weren’t just things I knew were important—they became lessons I lived through, often in the hardest moments.

First, consistency is everything. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall short or face setbacks; what truly defines your journey is how often you show up and keep pushing forward. Success isn’t built overnight; it’s built in the countless days of doing the work, even when it feels like nothing is moving. For anyone starting out, my advice is simple: focus on the process, not just the results. Show up, be disciplined, and stay committed no matter what.

Second, adaptability is key. The reality is that mistakes will happen—sometimes big ones. What sets you apart is how you handle them. Never let a mistake define you; let it teach you. I’ve made my share of missteps, but I’ve always treated each one as a lesson. Document what went wrong, develop solutions, and ensure you don’t repeat the same mistake twice. Over time, those lessons become your greatest assets.

Finally, resilience is what keeps you standing when the days get dark—and they will. There were moments in my journey when things felt impossibly hard, when the weight of failure loomed large. But I’ve learned that those moments, as difficult as they are, are part of the process. You’ll have the darkest days, but you’ll also have the brightest. It’s important to plan wisely, stay grounded, and protect your mental and emotional well-being through it all.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to embrace the challenges. Build habits of consistency, learn from everything, and keep moving forward, even when it feels tough. Success is never about avoiding failure—it’s about learning, adapting, and continuing to grow through every stage of the process.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed, I take a step back and focus on breaking everything into smaller, manageable pieces. I remind myself that I don’t have to solve everything at once—just focus on the next step. I also lean on routines, like making a prioritized list or taking a short break to clear my head.

My advice? Don’t let overwhelm paralyze you. Start with one small action, no matter how simple, and build momentum from there. And remember, asking for help or delegating isn’t a weakness—it’s a strategy.
