Meet Beily Santos

We were lucky to catch up with Beily Santos recently and have shared our conversation below.

Beily, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?

Honestly, I’ve never been one to let the opinions of others dictate what I do. If anything, the more hate I get, the more motivated I am—it’s like free confirmation that I’m making waves. The way I see it, people who hate are usually the ones who wish they had the confidence to do what I do. They’re watching, they’re talking, and that just means I’m doing something right. At the end of the day, I’m here to live my life, chase my dreams, and build something bigger than myself. The noise? That’s just background music.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I started my jewelry business, Lunoa Jewelry, back in 2020. The pandemic unexpectedly opened a door for me—I had no prior experience in marketing, no college degree in business, and no formal training in content creation. But I was determined. I took a deep dive into learning everything I could about social media algorithms, photography, videography, and what truly resonates with an audience.

Before this, I was a bartender, stuck in the repetitive cycle of the 9-to-5 grind, feeling like I was on autopilot. I knew I wanted more, something that would actually fuel my creativity. That’s when I found my passion—not just for running a business, but for creating beautiful, aesthetic moments through content. What started as a jewelry brand quickly evolved into something bigger. Now, I’m not only growing Lunoa Jewelry but also building my personal brand as a Disney content creator while working with other brands to bring their visions to life.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding both my jewelry brand and my presence in the influencer world. I’ve landed brand deals, worked with companies I admire, and continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Whether it’s crafting the perfect jewelry campaign or capturing the magic of Disney, I’m all about storytelling through content—and I’m just getting started.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three key qualities that had the biggest impact on my journey were adaptability, self-teaching, and resilience.

For anyone starting out, my advice is to stay open-minded and experiment. Don’t be afraid to switch things up if something isn’t working.

If you’re early in your journey, Google is your best friend. Invest time in learning—whether through YouTube, online courses, or trial and error.

My biggest advice? Don’t take failure personally—it’s just feedback. Keep going, stay consistent, and remember that every expert once started as a beginner.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

The support of my friends and family has been everything. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, and that made all the difference. In moments of doubt, when I questioned whether I was on the right path, they reminded me of my potential. Their encouragement gave me the confidence to push forward, take risks, and trust my own creativity.

Beyond emotional support, they’ve been there for the little things too—whether it was helping me take content, giving me honest feedback, or just hyping me up when I needed it most. Success isn’t a solo journey, and I’m grateful to have people in my corner who remind me why I started in the first place.
