Meet Kevin Hopkins

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kevin Hopkins. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kevin below.

Kevin, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

A lot of it comes from my family! I used to live with my Uncle Ern. And everyday when I would see him and ask how he was doing he would say. If you wake up and you’re breathing, it’s a good day and that’s how I live. My life! Also my uncle Kev used to install in us when we were kids the motto “We shall not be denied”! And I think that had a lot to do with how I live my life today

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a father of four amazing kids. I’m a jack of all trades lol I like to be everywhere like air. Ima an on air radio DJ. I was the program director for 96.1 The Beat. I video edit, fly drones. I’m a host for whatever reason. Clubs, events etc. I’m one of the owners founders of Beats Eats & Sneaks. And new part owner of a new online radio station for the BoxState called 719 Pulse. I also own a 360 Photo Booth business. Told you jack of all trades.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Always believe in yourself!!

It’s not all about what you know, most times it helps who you know. So always make good connections and friendships with people. You never know.

And in the business that I’m in, don’t be afraid to get out there and shake hands and kiss babies. I learned that lesson the hard way.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

Me and my friend Karson with a K and Brandon Lee we are launching our own cyber radio station for the box state and we’re just getting it kicked off so we’re looking for people to work with sponsors to help us get this thing off the ground so we can do some great work for our local community and our local artist he artist in the whole state of Colorado
