Menen, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I developed my self confidence, and self esteem from being in places that dimmed my light.
I often realized that I would be in spaces that people did not truly want to see me shine. Enduring experiences like this lead me to feeling sorry, and tired for myself. I decided to not feel like that and changed the perspective on how I viewed myself. Moving forward I chose to be in spaces that celebrated, and adored me, all while ensuring I was a sacred space for myself as well.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a creative that is fluidly creating. I am a model/ muse, content creator, and modeling and management agency director. This year I will be adding the titles podcast host, musician, business owner, and author to the catalog!
I love that I have allowed myself to flow freely into the different creative passions I have. I always get asked how I am able to do so much, and it is a trait I have inherited from my mother. Discipline, and organization has helped me the most with fluidly creating.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that enabled me to expand upon my creativity were balance, confidence, and organization.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Yahweh has been the most helpful in overcoming challenges, and fears. I go to Him for understanding on how and what to do with my creativity. As of late I have been allowing myself to flow into a state of endless being. My mother, and dear friends place me in spaces in which I can develop and harness my skills. If I need better understanding, or need to grasp something I read, and do personal research or refer to dear friends/ mentors.
