Meet Female Executives Of Texas

We were lucky to catch up with Female Executives Of Texas recently and have shared our conversation below.

Female Executives of Texas, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

We’ve built our confidence and self-esteem through community, perseverance, and the recognition of our shared experiences as women of color. For us, confidence grows when we see ourselves reflected in spaces where we’ve historically been excluded. We have developed resilience by supporting one another, embracing mentorship, and creating safe, empowering environments like Female Executives of Texas.

Every challenge we face strengthens us, and every victory reminds us of the power we hold together. Confidence isn’t developed alone—it’s fostered in community, and we’re committed to being that foundation for the next generation.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

We are Female Executives of Texas (FETX), an organization dedicated to empowering and educating Black and Brown women in business throughout the Texas Region. Since our founding in 2018, we have been a driving force for change, fostering a community where women entrepreneurs can thrive, connect, and succeed.

Over the past seven years, we have hosted over 30 impactful events, including conferences, workshops, ribbon cuttings, and networking sessions. Our signature events, such as The Annual Saturday School for Bosses and The Annual Texas Women of The Year Awards, have become cornerstones for education and celebration within our community. Our in-house mentorship program ensures that every entrepreneur has access to the guidance and support they need to navigate the challenges of business ownership. We also highlight local women through our blog, offering a platform to showcase their achievements and inspire others.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the four most impactful qualities in our journey have been empower, educate, celebrate, and collaborate—the very words that form our Female Executives of Texas (FETX) mantra. Empowerment has been at the heart of everything we do, reminding us to believe in ourselves and lift others as we rise. Education has been essential, equipping us to thrive through mentorship, workshops, and shared experiences. Celebrating achievements, both big and small, has built our confidence and fostered joy in the journey. Collaboration has shown us that we’re stronger together, with partnerships and authentic connections serving as game-changers for our growth. We are proud to embody our mantra: empower, educate, celebrate, collaborate. It’s more than just words—it’s a blueprint for creating a meaningful, impactful journey. By embracing these values, we’ve built a community where women of color can thrive, and we encourage you to do the same.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

Our ideal “client” isn’t a client at all—we consider every woman who joins us a sister. We are always looking for women of color in business or professionals in the Texas region who are seeking a strong, supportive sisterhood. Our community thrives on collaboration and connection, so the women we welcome are those who value empowerment, education, celebration, and collaboration. Whether they’re entrepreneurs, career professionals, or women pursuing their dreams, our ideal members are passionate, driven, and committed to growth—not just for themselves, but for the women standing beside them. At Female Executives of Texas, we believe in building authentic relationships, creating opportunities, and supporting one another as sisters, not just as members of a network.
