Meet Aaron & Dalila Copeland

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Aaron & Dalila Copeland. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Aaron & Dalila below.

Aaron & Dalila, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
We’d say it doesn’t completely disappear, but over time, it becomes a tiny voice you can easily brush aside. For us, the first step was recognizing that fear only holds you back, so we chose to move forward, even when feeling insecure. The magic of this mindset? Before you know it, you’re doing the very things that once made you feel like an imposter. And when you do them enough, you realize—you are it.

We also can’t stress enough how powerful meditative practices are for working through emotions like this. They help you find peace while moving forward, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
At Create New Patterns, our mission is simple: to provide tools and guidance that help people feel present, calm, and joyful. Not the surface-level “happiness” we often chase, but a deep, unshakable sense of peace and joy that stays with you no matter what life throws your way.

We share our journey through our podcast, blog, and a variety of tools designed to spark real, lasting change. From meditation techniques and affirmations to self-help worksheets and positive encouragement, our resources are here to help anyone take steps toward a more meaningful, joyful life.

What inspires us most are the stories of transformation. One of our favorite moments was hearing from a listener who felt stuck and discouraged in her career, unsure if she could ever create a life she loved. By using the mindfulness practices and deconditioning techniques we share, she found the confidence to take the leap—and completely turned her life around. Stories like hers are why we do what we do: to empower people to break free from limiting patterns and step into a life full of purpose, joy, and peace.

Exciting things are on the horizon! We’ll soon be offering Ayurvedic coaching, hypnotherapy, and NLP services. And yes, we even have a line of products available now—from clothing to yoga accessories—each with supportive messages to help you stay focused on your growth and well-being every single day. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop and be the first to know when these launch.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
As we mentioned earlier, overcoming fear and pushing through imposter syndrome is such an important quality to have. Another key for us has been our meditative practice. It might not seem like much at first, but with consistency, it becomes a powerful skill that deepens over time.

And finally, we’d say it’s the wisdom we’ve gained from over 20 years of facing life’s challenges together. Through it all, we’ve strengthened our relationship, cultivated inner peace, and grown in joy. Those lessons have shaped everything we do and share today.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Our biggest challenge right now is staying balanced while juggling so many things at once. We’re always looking to maximize our effectiveness, but it’s easy to slip into burnout or inefficiency when we spread ourselves too thin.

To tackle this, we regularly take time to meditate on everything we’re trying to accomplish. This helps us prioritize and intentionally pause certain tasks so we can stay focused on one goal at a time. It also helps us to let go of the stress. We’ve also started using an amazing task management tool, which has been a total game-changer for keeping us on track and organized.
