Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmin Mason. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jasmin , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Confidence and high self-esteem didn’t always come naturally to me. For the longest time, I thought looking my best or having the perfect outfit would make me feel unstoppable—but that wasn’t the case. The real shift happened when I started showing up for myself.
Back in 2019, I dreamed of creating a space where women of color could find beauty reviews tailored for us—an online magazine that truly spoke to our needs. But I hesitated, doubted myself, and put it off. If only I had known then that starting my blog would be the thing that unlocked a new level of confidence in me!
When I finally took the leap, everything changed. That blog led me to start my YouTube channel, and from there, I hit major milestones—getting monetized, growing past 5K subscribers, and building a community that truly sees and values what I bring to the table. That’s when I realized that confidence isn’t about how you look—it’s about the promises you keep to yourself.
Now, I operate at my highest level because I trust myself. I’ve built a confidence that no one else can define, and that, to me, is the real glow-up.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a full-time influencer who took a major leap—leaving behind a toxic job to fully step into my purpose. I always dreamed of building a platform where I could talk about the things I love—fashion, beauty, and lifestyle—but making that dream a reality wasn’t easy. It took a mindset shift, trusting God’s plan for my life, therapy, and most importantly, believing in myself to finally take the leap. And let me tell you—walking in alignment with your purpose just hits different.
The most exciting part of this journey? The freedom to create on my own terms. Whether I’m sharing my outfit of the day, vlogging new experiences, or bringing my Beauties along for every high and low, I get to tell my story my way. And that’s what makes this career so special—it’s more than just content; it’s connection, community, and making style accessible and relatable.
But this is just the beginning! Over the next few months, I’m expanding my brand with my latest project—The Ultimate Guide to Affordable Chic: Top 10 Must-Have Pieces for Every Season—an eBook designed to help women build stylish, budget-friendly wardrobes without sacrificing quality. Because looking expensive doesn’t have to be expensive!
My journey is proof that when you trust yourself, do the work, and take a leap, everything shifts. I’m just getting started, and I can’t wait to keep building this space for my community. Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come! ✨

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that had the biggest impact on my journey were perseverance, a commitment to learning and improving, and discipline. These three things carried me through every challenge and kept me focused on my goals, even when self-doubt crept in.
For anyone early in their journey, my biggest piece of advice is simple: get clear on what you want and be intentional about making it happen. That means setting a schedule—even if you’re juggling a 9-5—so you can stay on track. Batch-creating content is a game-changer because life will get busy, but consistency is what sets you apart.
And most importantly, discipline will take you further than motivation ever will. There will be days when you don’t feel like showing up, but showing up anyway is what creates success. Stay locked in, keep learning, and trust that every small step is leading you to where you’re meant to be!

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Right now, my biggest challenge is learning when to let go. Now that I’m a full-time influencer, I want to focus on what I do best—creating, storytelling, and connecting with my community. But as someone who likes to have all hands on deck when it comes to my business, figuring out when (and how) to outsource the things that don’t bring me joy has been a process.
I’m currently working on shifting my mindset from “I have to do it all” to “I don’t have to do it alone.” That means identifying the tasks that drain my time and energy and slowly bringing in support where it makes sense. It’s about working smart and making space for the things that truly move the needle.
