Ludy, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose in inspiring natural beauty treatments and wellness stems from my upbringing abroad, where a healthy lifestyle and organic foods were a way of life. This foundation shaped my passion for holistic skincare, leading me to create products that help people care for their skin naturally and effectively. By combining my knowledge of pure, high-quality ingredients with a commitment to results-driven formulations, I aim to empower others to embrace skincare that nurtures both their skin and overall well-being.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I learned to embrace natural traditions of homemade remedies and healthy diet from a very early age. My journey of creating a high-quality, nature-inspired skincare line began with a desire for efficiency and purity. Our star products such as the Luster Face Oil, our Vitamin C Serum and Timeless Body Oil are carefully crafted, every single ingredient is cruelty-free, naturally derived, researched and tested for its efficacy. As a cosmetic formulator and the creator of OXW Beauty, I bring my passion for natural beauty and wellness to life. The most exciting part of my work is the ability to blend science with nature, creating effective formulations that nourish the skin without harsh chemicals. I take pride in selecting high-quality, organic ingredients that align with my mission—helping people feel beautiful and confident by achieving healthy, radiant skin naturally. Every product I develop reflects my dedication to wellness, making skincare both a ritual and a source of confidence for OXW Beauty’s customers.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three most impactful qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge in my journey have been:

1. A great attention to detail – Formulating skincare requires precision, from ingredient selection to final product testing. Every small detail matters to ensure quality and effectiveness.

2. The ability to multitask – As a start-up founder, I wear many hats, managing everything from product development to branding and marketing. Balancing these tasks efficiently is key to growing my business.

3. Scientific and holistic knowledge – While my understanding of natural wellness started from growing up in a healthy environment, my scientific knowledge came from studying the craft of cosmetic formulation.

Advice for those early in their journey:

– Developing attention to detail: practice mindfulness in your work, double-check formulations, and continuously refine your approach. Small improvements lead to significant results.

– Improving multitasking skills: prioritize tasks, create structured workflows, and use tools like planners or digital apps to stay organized. Learn to delegate when possible.

– Building knowledge in formulation: If you’re passionate about skincare, invest time in learning the science behind it. Take courses, read formulation books, and experiment with small-batch formulations to gain hands-on experience.

Above all, stay patient and persistent—every step you take will refine your craft and bring you closer to your vision.
