Meet Mohammad Jamal Abdul Kader

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mohammad Jamal Abdul Kader a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mohammad Jamal , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethics are a result of my principles.
My principles are focused on the problem solving side of work because that’s how I see life as a whole. We all have our unique problems to solve.
Using that mindset, I spend less time complaining and more time coming up with solutions.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’ve been a copywriter for the past 4 years, I love this job because it challenges your storytelling techniques, making you creative in an emotional level.

Unfortunately, the traditional style of copywriting is dying in the ad industry so I’m lately focusing more in the content creation side and how to get better at that, using my copywriting skills

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1) Respect – In every line of work, of you wanna perform better, you wanna be respected and seen, similarly, if you want others to perform, respect then too. You’ll see how they’ve been underperforming just because they were treated poorly.

2) Curiosity – As a teenager, I never understood why we have to read quotes from the people in the past, but with time, I realized that we all need idols, we all need people to look up to because it’s then that keep us curious to learn more.

3) Rejections – As early you start getting over rejections, the better

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

Kayzad Giara. He has been a mentor to me, a creative director who shaped my creative ideology in a way that makes me confident about my ideas and my beliefs
