Meet Elisa Robin

We were lucky to catch up with Elisa Robin recently and have shared our conversation below.

Elisa, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose was shaped by my environment. Growing up in a single-mother household, my experience was different from many others. While we faced challenges, I was surrounded by unwavering support and encouragement to reach for greatness. From a young age, I knew I wanted to give back to my community through meaningful programs. The encouragement I received at home helped define my purpose, and because of those who raised me, I am driven to be a vessel for others.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Hi, I’m Elisa—a mom, wife, daughter, and someone deeply loved and supported. Family and community mean everything to me, and I truly enjoy being surrounded by loved ones, celebrating life, and making meaningful connections.

Helping others has always been at the core of who I am. I pursued a degree in Social Work to equip myself with the skills and resources needed to make a lasting impact. My first love in business was creating a nonprofit that provides wraparound support to at-risk and high-risk youth and families. I saw firsthand how many young people only receive resources after they’ve encountered trouble, rather than having proactive support systems in place. I wanted to change that by building a safe, empowering space where both youth and their parents could access the support they need—before a crisis occurs.

One of my greatest joys is developing and implementing innovative programs that meet youth where they are. Working with young people keeps me energized and connected; while we teach them positive coping techniques and life skills, they also teach us—giving insight into their perspectives, challenges, and the evolving world around them.

As we continue to grow, our vision is expanding. We are currently working on renovating a community center in West Baltimore, a space that will allow us to reach even more youth and families. This project represents more than just a building—it’s a promise to our community that no one has to navigate life’s challenges alone.

I’m passionate about the work I do and the lives we touch, and I’m excited for what’s to come as we continue building a stronger, more supportive future for the next generation

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are assertiveness, authenticity, and networking. Being assertive has helped me stand firm in my vision, authenticity has allowed me to build genuine connections, and networking—though still a work in progress—has opened doors to new opportunities.

I’ll be honest, networking can be intimidating, especially when it feels like some people only want to connect with those who are already well-known or have a large following. But I’ve learned that if I want people to know about my business and mission, I have to put myself out there, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel at times.

My advice? Never be afraid to share your story or talk about your business. Push past the nerves, step into your purpose with confidence, and remember that your voice and your work deserve to be heard.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely! I am always looking to partner and collaborate with individuals and organizations that are passionate about supporting youth, families, and community development. Whether you’re involved in education, mental health, workforce development, financial literacy, or mentorship, I’d love to explore ways we can work together to provide meaningful resources and opportunities.

I’m also interested in connecting with businesses and community leaders who want to invest in our mission—whether through sponsorship’s, donations, volunteer work, or program collaborations.
