We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Danielle Beinstein. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Danielle below.
Danielle, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
From doing things that scared me. From doing the hard things. From being severely bullied by boys in high school because I spoke my mind in class. From meeting people from every walk of life, which has humbled me and grounded me in my own story. I couldn’t talk my way into confidence, I had to earn it. I moved to a new city, alone, at 25. I stumbled a lot, made mistakes, learned from them. In small ways and in big ways, I’ve listened to my heart and gut more than I listened to others. Sometimes it worked out, sometimes it didn’t but through it, I learned to take responsibility for my life, for my failures, for my wins, for the journey I’m on.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I work with others, one on one and in group settings, using a hybrid of spiritual psychology and astrology. Really, I provide a mirror, guiding others to listen to their own inner voice, to trust in their resources, to build resilience and faith. Life is peaks and valleys, no way around that. Astrology provides a map, a context for our own journey, and can aid us in timing. Spiritual Psychology provides a window into the soul.
I host monthly New Moon Circles in my home, just outside of Nashville, But the bulk of my day is spent on client calls. I open my books every two weeks or so, to allow for new and existing clients to book when they need that extra support. And then I offer longer term, more in depth support, both privately and in group.
I also teach Astrology. I have digital self guided workshops and I also offer live Zoom classes.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I’d say my love of learning, my strong work ethic and my psychological astuteness have been the most impactful and helpful. These three things came very naturally to me and have proven the backbone of my work. I do think work ethic is important, but every person has their own operating system. I’m not particularly regimented but I am efficient. I think it’s important to build up resilience, to complete tasks even when it’s not desirable. This builds trust in oneself leads to self-commitment. Perfectionism can get in the way, but it’s important to remember than nothing and no one is perfect and we learn from doing, we learn from our mistakes. Often, they’re not even mistakes!
Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
I love to read and am a voracious reader, though I do take breaks now and then. I’ve always been a bookworm. My favorite book is East Of Eden by John Steinbeck. His exploration of the human condition and of morality remains my North Star. The power of choice. We always have a choice, even when we think we don’t, we do. There is such power in recognizing that.
