Meet Natacha Sanchez-ramirez

We recently connected with Natacha Sanchez-ramirez and have shared our conversation below.

Natacha, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my father. From a young age he inspired me to know the value of hard work and the benefits of his labor. I learned from then, that I wanted to take the entrepreneurial route at some point in my life.

Being an entrepreneur is important to me because it is as a way to generate an additional form of income as well as building generational wealth. It is a way to showcase my creativity and also have a passion project at the same time.

As a Dominican Woman, growing a business is definitely something that I am proud of.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Self-care is very important to me and is something I wanted to focus on. For years now I have been looking for all natural hair oils, facial oils and body butters that I can use on my family and I. That is when I created Worthy & Empowered. Worthy & Empowered is a Dominican-owned small business committed to encouraging self-care with our all-natural products for hair, skin, and face. Our mission is to provide nourishing products that help people take time our of their busy day for themselves and truly feel rejuvenated.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three skills that I would say are most impactful are:

1- Dedication – Feeling motivated about my ideas is important especially because starting the process of being an entrepreneur is not always the easiest thing to do, but determination always helped.

2- Passion- Being passionate about my ideas, creativity, and vegan formula has always made me feel that others can be included in self-care that is all natural and even made for all ages!

3- Networking- Spreading the word about your business can be challenging. With networking, I have provided samples to potential customers that also help to tell others about my products, which is a great way to help a small business grow.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My close family and friends have definitely been helpful in supporting me with challenges and essential skills. But the most important person to help with any adversities/building essential skills/expanding my knowledge is my husband, he has been through all the ups and downs so far of starting a brand new business. His support and his knowledge is truly something that I loved and appreciated from the start.
