We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tellygp. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with TellyGP below.
Hi TellyGP, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I found my resilience from my Mother, she had us young and literally had to figure it out. Figuring it out takes work, takes patience and understanding. She had 3 kids she had to provide for and within that had to develop early. My mother was the talk of the town growing up, She had threw the best parties on the block, she was known for that laidback vibe but didn’t play type and even I knew that. Moments with her meant a lot to others, from conversations to time spent is how she is remembered, how we should all cherish life.
I gained a lot from observation being her only boy, she put me in positions to grow before I knew it would matter. She couldn’t raise a man, not having my father in my life I couldn’t push that on her in a sense as hard it would be to figure this out, putting it all on my mother wouldn’t help or benefit and I believe that’s resilient in itself and a tougher task to tackle if you lacked the true guidance.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m currently in awe with life, feeling manifestation, putting work in and dealing with the trails and tribulations. One thing I can say is when God is on your side, the feeling that comes with it is truly undeniable. I have been seeing signs and blessings more even through the rough, being from the mud truly dealing with a reality I didn’t choose but was giving to me and making the best out of it is where my mindset stays.
It’s like being on my own island mentally, through my artistry is where you’ll be able to tell. Just dropped a project called “Thursdays Night Hits” dedicated to my late nephew I lost in 2024. The process of growth comes and goes, but being consistent is where I’m focused at this point. Keeping my relatives names alive while trying to heal the world we are in, we face an inevitable reality so how we choose to be day to day towards our self and others really has that impact. I’m hoping to give within my ways and within my waves through music.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think being okay to fail, start over. Like rewriting a song because you believe you can create something better. Getting out your comfort zone, staying positive through the tough times. Taking it how it comes and goes. Learning from your mistakes, not getting to down on yourself and being a disservice.
My career has fairly started, but I look at it as my career started once I was born and that impact you have or can make on people is the star quality life everyone searching for, being inspired by others by being a inspiration, everyone can have that and it’s much harder in todays world walking around truly genuine with good intentions but once you feel that, you don’t ever have to lose that unless you choose to.
I learned most lessons of life, on the heavy side of teachings. Learning distance early is badly impactful because you’re supposed to be loved as a kid, I learned changes and stages as a kid so being able to do music now is how I provide my source of gifts to the world in that same phase of impact. Only thing now is I feel better every time I manifest something in a sense i’ve created my therapy and it’s therapeutic.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m definitely looking to spread the word and collaborate with likeminded individuals, free spirits, lucid dreamers and creators. You can connect with me tellyGP on all social media platforms, my main message is the therapy, being therapeutic to be able to get through the pain, you can get though whatever it is you’re going through. I’m honestly an advocate for praying and I truthfully believe prayer works. Life can come full circle and obstacles come within that, Stay focused and resilient, we are all doing our best. I choose to always remember that because It’s always someone that has it worse and the adversity is what makes you.
