Meet Joey Cook

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Joey Cook a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Joey , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I found my purpose by following my passions, embracing challenges, and staying open to growth. It took time, but through experiences, setbacks, and learning from others, I discovered what truly drives me—making an impact and creating meaningful opportunities. Purpose isn’t just found; it’s built over time

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Here in 2025, we’re proud to celebrate Year 4 of Cincinnati Entertainment Group! Over the past four years, we’ve grown tremendously—hosting and producing major events across Cincinnati and beyond. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Networking & Relationship Building – The ability to connect with venue owners, sponsors, artists, athletes, and influencers is crucial. Strong relationships open doors to new opportunities and collaborations.

2. Project & Event Management – Managing logistics, coordinating teams, and ensuring seamless execution are key to delivering high-quality events. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and adaptability are essential.

3. Marketing & Branding – Understanding how to market events, build brand awareness, and leverage social media and sponsorships is critical. This includes audience engagement, promotions, and securing partnerships that enhance visibility and profitability.

Mastering these areas helps create impactful events, attract high-profile clients, and drive long-term success.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

We’re always open to collaborating on new event and business ideas—but only with those who bring a serious, hard-core work ethic. If you’re willing to put in the grind, stay committed, and execute the vision at a high level, let’s build something great together. Opportunities are endless when the right minds and work ethics align!

Tell us your vision & your goals on any ideas & our CEG event team & Marketing team will help make the magic happen!
