We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lynn Schuster a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lynn, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
I suppose my generosity comes from how I was raised—in a community where support was second nature. Extended family, neighbors, and people in town all pitched in to help one another. It wasn’t about monetary transactions; it was about genuine connection and taking care of each other. We helped our neighbors, and they helped us. It was about cooperation, knowing you could count on each other. When you have a network of people with different strengths and skills, you can accomplish so much more—and it’s a lot more fun than doing it alone.

ECHO Lash & Brow is more than just a beauty studio—it’s a space designed for restoration, confidence, and self-care. My approach to lash and brow services is rooted in enhancing natural beauty while creating a peaceful, welcoming environment where clients can relax and recharge. Beauty isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about how you feel in your skin, and my goal is to provide a service that leaves clients feeling seen, valued, and radiant.
Beyond ECHO, I’m also part of something bigger—the Solarium Wellness Collective. We are a group of six women-owned businesses, all dedicated to natural beauty and wellness. Our space is built on the values of collaboration, support, and community—a modern take on the kind of “it takes a village” support I grew up with. By working together, we’re able to offer a truly holistic experience for our clients, whether they’re coming in for a beauty service, wellness treatment, or just to soak in the calming energy of the space.
We’re especially excited about our upcoming Open House on May 17, 2025, where we’ll be celebrating our expansion and welcoming the community into our space. It’s an opportunity for people to experience what we’ve created, meet the amazing women behind our collective, and connect in a space that’s all about care, healing, and empowerment.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities that have been impactful in my journey: enjoyment, community-building, and a deep commitment to service.
Enjoyment has been key—finding value and genuine joy in what I do keeps me motivated and inspired. When you truly love your work, it shows in the energy you bring to it and the experience you create for others. For those just starting out, I’d say pay attention to what excites you. Whatever industry you are in, find something about it, or bring something to it that lights you up; because that joy will sustain you through challenges.
Community-building is at the heart of everything I do. From my upbringing to the creation of Solarium Wellness Collective, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to work alongside others. For those early in their journey, I encourage you to find your people—mentors, collaborators, supporters. No one builds something great alone.
Lastly, a commitment to service has shaped my business. At ECHO Lash & Brow, beauty is about more than just appearance; it’s about how people feel. Prioritizing the well-being and experience of others is what makes a business truly meaningful. My advice? Keep your focus on how you can genuinely serve others, and success will follow.
