We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gina Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gina below.
Gina, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
Spending my early years in a small town in the Caribbean where we Shares with the neighbors. If we did have bananas our neighbors would but some bananas on our front porch. If the neighbors didn’t have sugar my family would put a container of sugar on their porch. We Shared, ate and had fun together.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
As a child I’ve always loved reading about science and how our body’s function. So naturally I majored in pre med in college. After college volunteering in physical therapy departments of major hospitals in NYC I fell in love with physical therapy. After graduating I worked for a company that eventually had unrealistic expectations and seeing 4 or 5 patients and hour. By the time I said hello to my first patient my second patient had arrived. It was difficult to help people with such a demanding caseload. After years of hard work I decided to start my own company called Mobility Health Physical Therapy where each patient would be seen as a family or friend that we cared about.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Be kind to people. Remembering what they enjoy and makes them smile.
Always make smaller goals that lead you to your big goals. Every small step matters and allow yourself to celebrate the little wins aswell
Thinking positive. Having a positive outlook maynote change whats happening but it can give you an opportunity to think clearly and find a great solution.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The Miricle Morning
By Hal Harper
It really helped reinforce the importance of me time in the morning to set my goals and intentions for my day and also do my yoga. Movement is so healing.
