We were lucky to catch up with Ekim Supplies recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ekim, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

Integrity,

that only you can get yourself out of situations when no one else is around.There is a certain energy that Comes about when you surrender to the fact that sometimes it’s up to you.
This alchemical realization can break you down to sort of phoenix yourself into a stronger more adaptable version of the room you are in.
To be comfortable with that perspective because at the end of the day the world you wake up to can be different for everyone so I’d say perspective is important because life can be hard and life and in its essence is chaos .So making sure my attitude is adjusted as much it can be for me to have the perspective for that perseverance,I’d say the two words feed each other for greater success. The other half off that being god helps me out as the striving force to be greater and upgrade, though i am limited and we all tire.I believe there is still this attempt in situations for us to draw ourselves back to that mind set, even if for a second, that okay I’m still alive,I’m breathing and
I can still move,what’s next?

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I don’t feel like I necessarily have a story I feel the genuine me comes from what I do now on paper or post whether to market my artwork or when I am making a piece
I guess generally as an artist I prefer to do alot with my hands and just watching the process of what I’m making as I do life and I feel life mocks art the most and we are in one big theater
Like if we flip the words around it kinda spells out earth
And like the stars we are cast down here and vanish in an instant but to us? a light doesn’t reach us as fast and we get to live out this dream we project with these pupils like a projector in the movies, that somewhat resemble black holes, our projectors, that no light can escape not even ours and we shine just like those stars do right before the stars reach singularity and blow up metaphorically and symbolically as we all leave a mark when we go
Playing out who we are and each chapter is different so I say my whole life practically is an art, just one big whole masterpiece we are apart of, stringing along to the rhythm of the universes hymns

And I kind’ve just live like that, creating the piece and on to the next and that’s just my perspective for now and that will forever be changing

I like interpreting my beliefs on paper first. I believe there is no place like home and then I redo and water down what I feel to digital and transfer to clothing just to express

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Patience and to wait your turn.

Opportunities happen in silence if you pay attention life is giving you cheat codes as long as you can find peace in timing and preparation you’ll truly see how the mind will provide you with new doors and information for what is next

Listen to your environment and learn the hidden context in life’s book
Read her and forever study her language

Even the smallest ironies have the biggest clues to your questions with solutions

you just might have figured out how to beat the level with these sequences of coincidences have the hidden answer

It’s amazing how the brain and body was designed to adapt and take in information

I once found this quote to help me when I thought I just kept repeating the same cycle”maintenance over mastery”.

My perspective changed when I seemingly had to face the same adversities in life just in different levels and varieties which led me to see it as you will always need to take care of your life and its many spells

As if it is magic

Check your stats and always make sure they are leveled and up to date.

Life elevates and so must we as we are apart of it as well
