Meet Aubrey Britt

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Aubrey Britt a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Aubrey, thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?

I developed my ability to take risks when I joined the Military. After I joined the Military I realized that I can do anything that I put my mind to. I’ve always had that dream in the back of my mind to peruse entertainment. I was always so scared to put myself out there and hear the word “no”. I’ve realized that after you hear it for the first time it makes you want to go that much harder and practice. Sometimes that “no” gives me that fuel to want it more and to perfect my craft.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am an upcoming model and actress. What’s most exciting and special about acting is that I started acting when I was a kid in school. I was at every audition and I was in every show even if I didn’t have a role. I would even be on the crew behind the scenes making sure that the director’s vision was brought to life. I still have that same passion to this day and I am determined to make my inner child proud. Modeling is something that I have never tried before but was introduced to and I fell in love with it.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three qualities or skills that were most impactful in my journey were passion, dedication and commitment. The advice that I have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these is to love and care about every project that you work on, respect other’s time and to be one hundred percent committed to every single project that you’re involved in.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I feel overwhelmed the first thing that I do is take three deep breaths. Then I try to understand what is making me feel overwhelmed. I then take a moment to myself to process my feelings and think about what I am going to do to move forward.
