Meet Sudi Burnett

We were lucky to catch up with Sudi Burnett recently and have shared our conversation below.

Sudi, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

By being mindful and overcoming the ego ,I am being myself and comfortable in my skin . Not worrying about others judgments of me .

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am Persian / American . Left Iran at age 17 with one goal on my mind as being successful and don’t get help from family member . I have worked as a personal trainer for almost twenty years and then switched in to healing and life coaching . I have worked with thousands of people over the years with deep trauma issues . Doing personal coaching , weakly webinars and two weeks re treats internationally . I don’t use psychedelics in my re treats but people can get the same effect .

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Mindfulness , over coming the mind and ego , adaptability

My advice before anything ; do the self discovery , self inquiry

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

I sit back , contemplate , see the whole picture . look from different angle . create plan A B and C .
