Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Pamela King. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Pamela, thrilled to have you on the platform as I think our readers can really benefit from your insights and experiences. In particular, we’d love to hear about how you think about burnout, avoiding or overcoming burnout, etc.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve worn a “Superwoman” cape. I wore it like a badge of honor as mom, wife, sister, friend, minister, veteran, survivor, and advocate. I was the go-to person, the problem solver, the one who made things happen no matter how exhausted I felt. I would put that cape on no matter how heavy and tattered it was. Burnout didn’t show up overnight—it crept in slowly. It looked like saying yes when my spirit whispered no. It sounded like “I’ll rest later” when my body was aching and screaming for a pause. It felt like constantly pouring into others while my own cup ran dry.
My wake-up call came when I realized my days were filled with frustration instead of joy. I would wake up inspired and go to bed resentful. I didn’t have enough hours in the day to do what was in my heart because I was too busy doing, fixing, and solving for everyone else. I had the skills, the experience, and the passion, but I was overcommitted to things that weren’t in alignment with my God-given purpose. That’s when I made the bold decision to let go.
First, I identified everything that was on my plate and examined all the roles, commitments, obligations, and expectations that were wearing me down. This helped me recognize the things that didn’t align with my gifts, strengths, passion, and priorities. Next, I took purposeful steps to release myself from the guilt of breaking my word, shame of admitting I am not superwoman, and fear of disappointing people I care about. Through intentional conversations with those involved in areas where I felt overextended, overcommitted, overwhelmed, and simply over-it, I reclaimed my joy, my strength, my purpose, and my power.
I learned that my strength was also my kryptonite. Being unstoppable isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what matters. It’s about honoring your calling without compromising your well-being. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, but I also know what it takes to rise above it. Now, I’ve made it my mission to help women step into their power and become unstoppable in every area of their life—without sacrificing their joy, compromising their peace, giving up their hope, or neglecting their health.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a Bold Goals Success Coach and inspirational speaker, dedicated to helping ambitious women overcome emotional setbacks, break free from burnout, and confidently pursue their boldest goals. Through my Bold Goals Coaching Program, I equip women with the tools they need to shift their mindset, take bold action, and experience the success they truly desire —without sacrificing their well-being.
What excites me most about my work is watching women reclaim their power—not just by setting goals, but by fully stepping into who they were created to be. Too often, we let fear, self-doubt, or overcommitment keep us stuck in cycles of exhaustion and hesitation. I teach my clients how to break those cycles and build a life that aligns with their values, strengths, and purpose.
What Makes My Coaching Unique?
I help women embrace a way of being that goes beyond their to-do list. Success isn’t just about doing more—it’s about becoming the person who confidently creates the results they desire. I integrate faith, resilience, and proven coaching strategies to help my clients navigate challenges and take bold action. My coaching is deeply personal and transformational—because I’ve walked this journey myself. I know what it’s like to be overcommitted, exhausted, and stuck in a cycle of doing too much and still feeling like it’s not enough. I’ve confronted the superwoman inside of me and learned how to overcome her relentless mindset —and now I help other women become unstoppable too!
What’s New & Exciting?
I’m currently expanding my coaching programs to serve more women who are ready to break free from burnout, step into their next level, and become unstoppable. I am also excited to be featured in Bold Journey—because this is exactly the kind of conversation we need to be having.
If you’re a woman who’s tired of being stuck, overwhelmed, or settling for less than your full potential—I’m here to help you shift, grow, and succeed with boldness. Let’s make this the year you stop playing small and start walking boldly in your purpose.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three key qualities have been most impactful in my journey:
1. Resilience – Learning to Rise Again
Life has thrown some major challenges my way—military service, surviving breast cancer, overcoming burnout, and rebuilding my career with purpose. Through it all, prayer, hope, and faith were the anchors of my resilience that inspired me to keep going. I’ve learned that setbacks don’t define you—rising above it does.
2. Bold Decision-Making – Choosing Alignment Over Approval
I spent years trying to be everything to everyone, but true success came when I got clear on who I am, what I stand for, and what I will no longer tolerate. I had to let go of roles, commitments, and even relationships that didn’t align with my purpose. I started to ask myself, “who said so?” Sometimes we make up rules where there aren’t any and those rules are holding us back. So, break up with the rules that are restricting you from becoming all that you were created to be. The boldest decisions I made weren’t just about success; they were about peace, joy, and alignment.
3. Confidence in My Voice – Owning My Story
For years, I undervalued my own journey. I had incredible experiences—leading, teaching, coaching—but I didn’t always see myself as the expert. It took time to step fully into my calling and confidently own my expertise. Now, I use my voice to empower women to step into their greatness, share their stories, and create impact.
My Advice:
Embrace your ambitions with a brave and simple-steps mindset: see obstacles as stepping stones, not roadblocks. Surround yourself with a supportive community that will lift you up during tough times and hold you accountable to the shifts you want to make. For me, that safe space and support system came from my husband, my boys, my sisterhood, breast cancer support group, and extended family (including my church family). Practice self-compassion—you’re not failing, you’re learning. Success isn’t about doing everything—it’s about doing the intentional things that align with who you are with boldness, clarity, and purpose.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is a high-achieving, purpose-driven woman who is ready to break free from burnout, self-doubt, and emotional roadblocks to step fully into her next level of success. She is:
– An ambitious woman who has spent years pushing herself to achieve but now craves more alignment, fulfillment, and ease in her success.
– A leader, entrepreneur, or coach who is highly skilled but struggles with overcommitment, people-pleasing, or feeling like she has to do it all.
– A woman of faith who desires to lead, build, and grow with boldness while staying true to her values.
– Ready to shift from survival mode to thriving—she doesn’t just want to set goals; she wants to own her success with clarity, confidence, and courage.
– Willing to invest in her growth—she knows that transformation requires action, accountability, and the right support.
