Meet Haiden Bentley

We were lucky to catch up with Haiden Bentley recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Haiden, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic is rooted in the conviction that with determination and focus, I can accomplish any goal I pursue.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My name is Haiden Bentley, and I am a passionate and dedicated film director, cinematographer, photographer, editor, and creator. With years of experience in visual storytelling, I began my journey by producing product advertisements using my phone, gradually expanding my expertise to co-directing, filming, and editing a full-length feature film through my production company. My deep-rooted passion for filmmaking has been with me since childhood, driving me to continuously push creative boundaries and refine my craft. I am now in the works of creating a 45 min short film with my company which should be released in late 2025.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three key qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are a strong work ethic, creative vision, and technical proficiency. My determination has allowed me to push through challenges, continuously improve, and achieve my goals. A deep passion for storytelling has helped me develop a unique creative perspective, shaping the way I direct, shoot, and edit. Additionally, mastering various technical aspects of filmmaking such as lighting, and character placement, have given me the ability to bring my ideas to life effectively.

For those early in their journey, I recommend staying disciplined and committed to your craft, continuously challenging yourself creatively, and always seeking to expand your technical knowledge. The more you create, experiment, and learn, the stronger your skills and artistic voice will become.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

The person who has been most helpful in my journey is my dad. From the beginning, he has been a constant source of support, guidance, and encouragement. He instilled in me the value of hard work and perseverance, always pushing me to give my best effort in everything I do. Whether it was helping me navigate challenges, offering constructive feedback, or simply believing in my abilities, his influence has played a crucial role in shaping my work ethic and determination.
