We were lucky to catch up with Brian Smale recently and have shared our conversation below.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’ve been a commercial photographer for over 40 years. Editorial portraiture was my main focus for the first 30, and more recently I have been concentrating on the corporate / technology world.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I’ve always tried to give my clients more than they have asked for. I also try to be fun to work with. I know that’s only two, but I think they’ve been fundamental in having a long career.
