We were lucky to catch up with Roderick Casadores recently and have shared our conversation below.
Roderick, so great to have you on the platform and excited to have you share your wisdom with our community today. Communication skills often play a powerful role in our ability to be effective and so we’d love to hear about how you developed your communication skills.
Self taught, reading books, learning from my peers, talking to strangers, and being around different types of people’s personalities.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Roderick M. Casadores. I’m a small business owner from South Orange County, California. I provide moving services that caters to my community. I’m like the mom, and pops of moving. More personal going above, and beyond their expectations. My moving company provides services like packing, unpacking, in state & out of state move, loading & unloading household goods, office moves, transporting vehicles, and other miscellaneous items etc. you name it, will move it.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Persistence, Patience,, Hard Work, and I guess a little bit of luck in my journey. My advice is to believe in yourself that you can do it, anything is possible, surround yourself with people that will encourage, embrace your goals whatever it maybe. stay away from the negative ones that will hinder your growth moving forward.
If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
Moving business last year was very slow. I’m hoping, and praying this year the moving industry will be more traffic, and a lot of people will buy, move to new homes. This will help a lot in regards to our economy, and get my small business make money, create employment, and make the business grow, and expand. .
