We recently connected with Ketline Bazile and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ketline, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I got my resilience from growing up in a broken home. Most people believe that once you’ve experienced being in a broken home that should define you. But I’m here to serve notice that you don’t have to be subject to that, You don’t have to be subject to your past. I found out that I don’t have to have a victim mentality. I can change my future by believing in the person God created to be on this earth. That can be a person of influence, that I can be a person that makes a difference in my community. Once I realized that resilience was automatic. If I was able to survive and thrive after my broken childhood. oh, I can stay and thrive anywhere and with any circumstance that comes my way! I learn that I have come to contribute to society. I’ve gone rejected by my mother and father, I almost died in a life-threatening accident when I was 9 years old, was in an abusive relationship, and almost died at the hands of my boyfriend at the time. I’ve been through hell and back and still standing victorious at that! Only by the grace of God, I am who I am today. When I realized that I’m not my past, I’m not what happened to me. My mind was renewed and set free! Who am I today? I’m a woman of God, wife, mother, real estate broker, business owner, mentor, coach, and minister of the kingdom of God. Ultimately, my resilience comes from Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior! Jesus said this in the book of John “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” You see I’ve learned that in this world this will come to try to crush you, but I’ve realized that If Jesus overcame the world and I’m in Him, I am overcome too!
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three most impactful things I learned in my journey to becoming the woman I am today is being honest with myself. Being true to who you are is key. Know you! is one of the first things. Why is this important? Because people/the world will try to label you and you must know who you are and be honest with that first. And second, find out what you are good at, the thing that comes naturally to you, and the things that bring you joy when you do them. Third, find out the things that get you stirred up/downright angry when you hear them happening to others. Things, like child abuse, sex trafficking, child neglect, hunger, homelessness, and literacy in your community, etc. Most likely God is pointing you in the direction of purpose and impact. That’s why I’m active in my community, that’s why I’m a minister of the gospel of the kingdom of God, that’s why my husband of 25 years started a pre-marital group in our community because we saw people getting married and wanting to divorce one another after a year or 2. We believe in God center marriages and family. So, these are a few things that help me on my journey. I hope these areas of knowledge are of help to you too.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The book that played an important role in my development is the bible. Now, I know that might sound cliche as a Christian or a minister, but it’s true for me. I found out how to renew my mind from negative thoughts. I found out that I matter to God. I found out that I can attain wisdom principles through the words of Jesus. It taught me how to be a person of integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness, a good wife, and a mother. The word of God taught me how to care for others, and how to be a giver. You see it gave me so many nuggets that I can really live a life free of worry, hate, and anxiousness, in my mind and heart. The bible taught me that wisdom is the principal thing and in all my getting get understanding. I do this by seeking God and His kingdom first!
One of my favorite bible verses is Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
