Hi Ashley , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

When you have your own business work ethic is a given. In the staging business, you have no room for inconsistency, being late, or not showing up for something that is on the schedule. Movers are scheduled, photos are scheduled, and the property is scheduled to go on the market. I value peoples time and in turn hope they value ours. It’s all about respect for your profession and others.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I own a Interior Design and boutique Home Staging business in Denver, Colorado. By boutique I mean we specialise in more unique high end properties. We do everything from bungalow homes to new builds to recently flipped properties, however we love to put our energy into the harder to sell properties. It really allows us to shine.

I have 20 years of experience designing beautiful homes, business and anything else that needs to be refreshed. I’ve been a architectural model builder, set dresser for the movie industry, gallery director in Santa Fe, NM, a visual merchandiser for many large companies and of course an interior designer throughout the years. Creating beautiful things and spaces is my passion, gives me my drive, and is my live.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The many different experiences/careers I’ve had in the creative industry which has given me the “know how”.

The ability to recognise different styles and be able to adapt.

The many places I’ve lived and cultures I’ve been exposed to, lends me the advantage to have a vast knowledge and ability to create a multitude of spaces and vibes.

Calling all artists! We love to use and promote local artists work. It gives them a canvas of a beautiful home to be showcased in and gives us the opportunity to use new artwork!
