Benton, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

Honestly my optimism comes from growing up watching anime and reading comic books. From a very early age I understood that anything was possible.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am an entertainer all around really. I love music, movies, acting, dancing, comedy, comics, and sports. The most exciting part of it all is creating something new and collaborating with other great minds. I recently changed my artist name from “Yung Meme” to “Benton” which is my birth name. This decision was made to bring all of my fans and supporters along for my internal growth which bleeds over into all of my art. I am a regular guy just like you, I’m just Benton.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Listening and learning are both underrated skills in entertainment. I’d advise anyone to do so and also read read read! Absorb knowledge every single day, study the data and stay true to yourself always. I wish someone told me these things when I was first starting out.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

Whenever I feel overwhelmed I just take a break from it all. Even if it’s only for a few minutes it’s important to meditate daily it helps you get your mind right.
