Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brenda Buenavida. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Brenda , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Hello!!! From a young age, I felt a deep connection with energy, relationships, and family bonds. My journey began with Reiki, and over time, I explored different tools such as psychology, family constellations, astrology, and more recently, supporting motherhood and parenting as a doula. All of this led me to understand that my purpose is to accompany people in their own healing process, helping them find balance in their relationships and release burdens that do not belong to them.
Each training and experience showed me that working with the family system and energy is a way to honor our roots while creating a lighter present. Today, my purpose is expressed through therapeutic support, conscious motherhood, and the integration of ancestral knowledge with modern tools. For me, it is a path of constant evolution, where I continue learning and growing alongside those I support.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a psychologist, doula, lactation specialist, and family constellations facilitator. My work focuses on supporting people in their healing journey, helping them find balance in their relationships, release inherited burdens, and connect with their own energy and family system. One of the most exciting aspects of my work is witnessing how small shifts in awareness can bring profound transformations in people’s lives. Whether through therapy, family constellations, or supporting mothers during pregnancy, birth, and early parenting, my goal is always to provide a safe space for personal growth and emotional well-being.
Right now, I’m working on an exciting new project, a space dedicated to supporting mothers in every stage of their journey—from conception to postpartum and parenting. This project integrates psychology, ancestral knowledge, and modern tools to guide women in a conscious and connected experience of motherhood. Stay tuned for upcoming events and resources!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I believe the three qualities that have most influenced my journey are intuition, adaptability, and a deep understanding of human connections.
Intuition – Working with energy, family constellations, and motherhood requires a deep level of sensitivity and trust in one’s inner wisdom. Developing intuition comes from practice, observation, and allowing yourself to be present with others without judgment.
Adaptability – Every person and situation is unique, and being able to adjust my approach—whether in therapy, constellations, or supporting mothers—has been essential. To cultivate adaptability, I recommend staying open to learning, embracing change, and trusting that growth often comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone.
Understanding Human Connections – My work revolves around relationships: between individuals, their families, their past, and even themselves. Strengthening this understanding requires deep listening, empathy, and continuous learning about systemic dynamics and human psychology.
For those just starting their journey, my advice is to stay curious, trust the process, and seek both knowledge and personal growth. The more you work on yourself, the better you can support others. Also, surround yourself with mentors, teachers, and a community that inspires and challenges you. Growth is a lifelong journey, and every step along the way brings valuable lessons.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
One of the main challenges I am currently facing is consolidating and expanding my project, creating a space where I can integrate my experience as a psychologist, doula, and lactation specialist to support women through all stages of motherhood. This process involves not only developing content and services that truly add value but also finding the best strategies to reach those who need this support.
To overcome this, I am working on several aspects:
Organization and structure: Clearly defining the services and resources I will offer ensuring that each proposal aligns with the real needs of the women I accompany.
Outreach and community: Strengthening my presence on social media and exploring new ways to connect with my audience, sharing valuable information about motherhood, parenting, and family bonds.
Continuous learning: Continuing my training and deepening my knowledge in lactation, infant care, and therapeutic support in motherhood to offer a more solid and updated approach.
I believe that every stage of growth comes with challenges, and this process of building and expanding motivates me to keep learning and evolving in my professional journey.
