We recently connected with Charlie Sprinkman and have shared our conversation below.
Charlie, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
As the founder of Everywhere Is Queer, I was never this confident! I didn’t find my confidence until I found myself surrounded by confident queer community. As one that was raised in rural Wisconsin and catholic, I did not have much confidence at all.
After college, I went on a cross country road trip where I met queer people from all over the United States. Seeing and experiencing confident queer people, started to give me the confidence to live my life! Once I started Everywhere Is Queer, I grabbed onto all the confidence I had and started my business.
Queer community gave me my confidence, so I wanted to start EIQ to connect our community with spaces that will build their confidence. We deserve to be seen as our most authentic selves, every single day.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As one that is building the worlds largest directory of queer-owned organizations, it is my mission to connect the queer, trans and ally community with safer spaces locally and globally! If you are a queer-owned organization, you’ll apply via the profile tab of our app to be listed on our platform (free to join!).
Our app is called Everywhere Is Queer and available for free globally on iOS and Android!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Gratitude – practice the journey of gratitude. The moment I realized I can stub my toe and say woah I am grateful I didn’t break my toe. It is the small moments that can change the way we navigate this world.
2. Active Listening – something I am working on continuously as this is something I am not the best at. Being able to actively listen to others is so important.
3. Patience – no body is perfect, no body will be perfect. Keep doing the work to become the best version of yourself so you can show up for others.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am one person screaming from the rooftops about our free app that hosts over 17K+ queer-owned organizations. I need help spreading the word about our free app to we can allow the queer, trans and ally community to find safer spaces locally and globally. If you have ANY connections or way to help spread the word about our free resource, please let me know!
