Meet Krizzha Dee

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Krizzha Dee. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Krizzha below.

Hi Krizzha, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

I often struggle with imposter syndrome because as an artist, seeing so many talented creators around me makes me doubt my own abilities and the progress I’ve made. I used to think I had to know everything before I could consider myself good enough. But over time, I realized that being a perfectionist and setting unrealistic expectations can hurt my confidence.

I’ve learned that comparing myself to others isn’t helpful because everyone has their own unique journey. Every achievement we reach isn’t just luck—we’ve worked hard for it, and we all deserve our success. Doubt is natural, but we can overcome it by reminding ourselves that we are good enough, even if we don’t know everything. Learning never truly stops—it continues as long as we do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a digital artist and designer who loves working with bright, vibrant colors. My goal is to spread joy and show my personality through my designs and illustrations. I focus on telling stories in my art, often inspired by my own experiences and funny moments. I enjoy adding texture to my pieces because it makes them feel more interesting and complete—like the perfect finishing touch!

I am also passionate about motion and bringing my illustrations to life. Every time I animate them, I’m having so much fun! Although I’m still new to this skill, I’m eager to keep learning and using it more in my work. In the future, I plan to sell my prints and stickers online to share good vibes with everyone. Stay tuned!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Throughout my journey, I’ve learned to be patient and keep going, even when things are tough. I’ve faced a lot of rejection and missed opportunities, but I always knew my time would come. When I got rejected, instead of giving up, I worked harder as an artist and designer. I realized that rejection is part of the journey, and instead of feeling discouraged, I used it to improve my skills. Because of this, I was able to reach my goals, and it felt amazing!

I also learned the importance of taking risks and grabbing opportunities. It’s important to take chances because they can lead to great things in the future. Whether it’s volunteering or internships, these experiences help you build important connections.

My advice for people just starting out is don’t give up on your dreams, no matter how hard it gets. Even if things aren’t happening right away, just keep working, stay consistent, and be patient. Take the opportunities that come your way because taking a risk is always better than regretting it later. The worst thing that can happen is someone saying “no.” Rejection doesn’t mean you should quit or let negative feedback stop you.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most meaningful thing my parents did for me was giving me the freedom to choose my own career path. While many parents push their kids to pursue high-paying jobs with stable incomes, my mom was supportive when I chose to follow my passion for art and design. Even though people often warn that this is a competitive field and not always financially secure, my mom didn’t focus on the potential earnings. She cared more about whether I was happy doing what I love. I’m incredibly grateful to her for trusting me to make my own decisions and allowing me to go after my dreams.
Another huge impact my mom had on my life was her hard work and sacrifices to provide a better future for my siblings and me. She worked tirelessly and made so many sacrifices so we could have the opportunity to migrate to the U.S. and build a better life. Her determination and love for us have shaped who I am today, and I’ll always be thankful for everything she’s done for our family.
