Meet Binx Basilisk

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Binx Basilisk. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Binx below.

Hi Binx, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

As a content creator we are constantly under scrutiny from the public, many things we say can be taken out of context and used to paint a picture which is far from truth. At times we receive unsavory comments from chatters which address our appearance or where we’re from.

This is a small price to pay for the amount of inspiration we can bring to our community and fellow creatives.

To present oneself to the internet on a regular basis takes a strong sense of self which I developed growing up as an only child, My parents worked long hours and I often spent time alone without the influence of others to peer pressure me.

Without the presence of other kids to lead my true self astray I developed a genuine identity which was the solid foundation of who I became today. During that time I realized I was the only person that could push myself to be the best version I could be.

My advice to those who want to take on content creation is to remember who they are and move with intention.
Be mindful of your actions representing who you are and never allow others to cross your boundaries.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am an IRL & Variety Cosplay Streamer on twitch with a focus on highly interactive streams.

I love to travel the world and bring my community with me for daily IRL’s while abroad.
Our next focus is exploring South Korea and Japan in 2025 !

While IRL streams are taking place my community is able to send Text to Speech to interact directly with the stream, this allows them to take part in the trip outside of just watching along.

While at home I sometimes stream video games, other times I host DJ nights where chat submits playlists for us to rate and dance along to, I am known for being a clown sometimes which as a cosplayer is extremely fun !

We have community gaming days where I play along side everyone, currently we are focused on playing Monster Hunter Wilds.

I have a Patreon which focuses on Cosplay content, my first professional cosplay shoot for 2B will be releasing there soon with an exclusive first look at the shots. I hope to also turn them into physical prints for convention guest appearances as well.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Creativity is a faucet that should never run dry when you choose to become a content creator. We cannot rely on the same formulas to work without having people lose interest, rather we need to dig into that well of colorful inspiration to take that formula and refresh it to resemble something new while retaining the reliable backbone structure that engages the audience.

Having worked in a marketing company in the past allows me to accomplish this with a systemic approach that often times gets overlooked when people focus solely on pushing their passion for their content with no real direction.
A good routine always allows for time to think creatively, rest and plan for streams.

When you are your own boss organization is key to productivity !

Streaming full-time as a content creator can reveal patterns, progress is not linear. It is imperative to remain optimistic when there are slow days during the week. Never let a slow day bring you down you don’t know what tomorrow will bring.

Take a moment to look back to a year from now and you will see the difference !

Make changes when the pattern plateaus but never be discouraged !

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

As a Miami based cosplayer I am always looking to work with local Anime conventions !
