Meet Shivan Mahadeo

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shivan Mahadeo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Shivan, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?

I was able to learn risk management skills by driving two thousand miles to Canada by myself, three times in snowstorms that could make your car veer off the road. After taking that risk, nothing else really seem that difficult. I also was able to work for a company on the Top 300 Branham List at 22 after having to work from an early age due to family separation of a parent at fourteen and having to fill that role early on. By the age of fourteen, I knew how to pay a mortgage and utility bills. I knew how to pay taxes, and it was extremely stressful to learn at that age, but I was able to manage it. It was a difficult journey from my dad being in janitorial services his whole life to being able to taking advantage during the pandemic. Janitorial workers are considered essential. We decided to just start our own business. Due to the nature of the pandemic, we wanted to eradicate Covid and any Sars related diseases by removing it from as many spaces as we can. We were able to work directly with clients because it was mutually beneficial. That was an elevated risk during the pandemic because finances were limited, and a lot of businesses fail with the first five years. By taking that risk, I was could now see the perspective of a business owner operating for five solid years in a post-epidemic economic downturn and could now provide real growth channels as I am learning business administration at York University to practice law. Taking a risk in business, allowed me to apply my knowledge from university, and learn the legal barriers and constraints of the legality of business. By leaving the 9-5, I was able to establish a few ways of incurring residual income. Attending philanthropic events such as the writing the Presidents Pen. A poetic rap narrative linguistically articulating the the most notable figures in modern day culture with a spin on teaching the youth the importance of participating in civic action, such as the Presidency or elected PM. It was a daring move for Rolling Stone 2024 which typically a lot of Rock artists compete for. I placed third and was actually able to raise a few thousand for MusiCares for professionals with health complications such as trauma. I didn’t even know they worked with big names such as Grammy’s. I just wanted to raise money for a noble cause to help people. In fact, during this time, I handed out organic, a-peel free fruit and beverages from a farmers’ market to the homeless in downtown Toronto by hand.

I participated in the 2025 Entrepreneur in Impact challenge, which helped me raise money for GenYouth, a charity that provides access to nutritional resources and athletic equipment for school children. The 2025 Ciara’s dance contest is still in effect for a chance to be in a Ciara video and raise money for the Why Not You Foundation, a non-profit organization to help children in underserved communities have pathways to education, workforce opportunities and health issues a child may be facing. I just feel honored to even be able to dance, making it more natural and human while raising money for kids. Russell Wilson is also a huge part of that charity as well. You may recognize him for is award winning Quarter Back plays as number 3 for the Pittsburgh Steelers and his insane level performance on the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos. He has also spoke at numerous universities which is why I value him as a heroic figure. Denzel Washington, Malcom X, MLK, Tyler Perry, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, and Will Smith were major contenders in my suite for professionalism and their courage has inspired me and many others to be an advocate for change.

Taking a risk with business allowed doors to be opened with other business owners no matter how big or small. I was now able to attend business only events and opportunities. I was able to pay my bills solely with the business I own. We took a risk with mortgage and insurance and it was able to gain traction with other incomes. By taking a risk with my social assets it connected me to people I never thought id meet. I never thought I would be in a magazine. I took risks in university in the legal sector of the school. I was on the Petitions and Appeals Committee and an Academic Integrity Representative. By doing so, I was able to earn a certificate of acknowledgment for completing 1600 cases in three months and was able to help students in extenuating circumstances find solutions. I was able to become a sitting Senator and member of the Senate Council. In the Senate Council, I was Chief Administration Officer of the Student Senate Caucus. To give back, I was a Peer Mentor to help anyone who could have been put at a disadvantage like me. I became the number 1 requested Peer Mentor in the entire university. After learning this role, it allowed me to seek more professional mentorships myself and even become better at listening to different hardships and determining a game plan to tackle it head on for others. Modeling and acting are extremely hard to get into, but I was able to be requested for a few appearances. I know I will have to stretch my skillset to be able to keep up with the fast-paced industry, however I am ready to take that risk.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My story comes from pure terror. When I was fourteen, I was separated from my mother, which resulted in making it difficult to pay bills. I had to apply for work at seventeen, and started the day after my eighteenth birthday, When I was seventeen, I was also assaulted by an officer who cut me with a knife while I was cuffed and detained, for a stolen vehicle although I was in my vehicle. I did not have the opportunities other kids had. A few years back one of my family members had their life taken away by another family member via blunt force trauma. That same person also just passed recently. I have been homeless and have experienced starvation at an early age. Trauma was a big part of my middle and high school experience due to extreme extenuating circumstances. In 2014 I used to see eviction notices all over the door of my old house. My dad had cancer and was close to dying.

I am focused on going into law with careful attention to criminal law because I dont like seeing children go to jail. I know kids under eighteen can still perform harsh crimes, but on the contrary, we can rehabilitate them and send them back to school rather than sending to a systemic circle designed not to get out of. It rips aparts people and families emotionally and phsycially. I intend to Pro Bono a lot of juvenile cases and hope to work mostly cases of that nature. I would like to open my own charity one day for kids in distress and facing issues regarding nutrition, academic and homeowner advice, education on monetary systems, supplies, or if they were wronged by the law.

I was a sitting Senator at York University and Chief Administration Officer of the Student Senate Caucus. I do blogs for the school, with my lasted one highlighting health being more important than wealth. I am a person constantly works out and eats healthy. I have worked myself to doing half marathons with ease. I have been selected to join a professional team of artists for music in the rap genre as well as an elite football club for only two hundred athletes. I was invited to auditon for some roles in stranger things, bad boys two and a Tyler Perry film. I really like Tyler Perry and want to work with him.

Since then, I have launched my own brand for designer wear. I have applied for acting positions and modeling. It is an extremely competitive business, but I still optimistic. I want to work with Versace, Jordan, Yeezy, Kendall Jenner, and Tom Ford. I would like to perform out of this world artistry with the likes of celebrated figures like Arianna Grande, Tayor Swift and Beyonce. I have had requests to have small partnerships that I genuinely believe in just for recognizing me. My cleaning business is primarily my main goal on expansion on as I have been lucky enough to have a few contracts with doctors for their spaces. Doctors value why a building should not just be cleaned but properly sanitized and disinfected. Our cleaners hold certifications just for that to show we a serious about clean. We also just closed a few life insurance sales and upgraded our media budget. We intend to do more mortgage sales and financial advising. We want to grow this business to be multigenerational and it being a humble business we want to teach the next generation that no matter what you do you can reach success as long as you keep trying. I’m inspired by both the good and unpleasant moments in my life. The next step, is to be a professional speaker as I want to run for congress or even the U.S. Presidency. I would like to help through my workings to the best of my ability. It feels very fulfilling assisting people reach their dreams. I could mentor even more people, especially in the law sector. I want to go to Harvard Law school very soon and hopefully I can become the valedictorian so I can demonstrate what someone who just refuses to give up has done. Growing up, I saw a lot of people doubting themselves and I want to change that.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. – Be Fearless:

2. – Having A Survivalist Mindset:

3. – Know Your Rights:

Advice: To become fearless you have to bring out the dark side of you. The more daring side. To be bold it just takes a little confidence which can go a long way. Limiting beliefs are real and are stopping many people around the world from living the life they want to live. I obtained this from Evy Poumpouras, who is a former United States Secret Service member. Will Smith also spoke about this which allowed me to remove it from my life and my life has never been better as I conquer each fear one by one. A person who has been through adversity, especially in their youth, is someone who cannot be broken mentally. They are almost equipped with a sense of immunity to small forms of pain and under the right circumstances can grow past traditional workers and students. Use your trauma, don’t let it use you. Hit the gym, learn a sport, and use that unrelentless pain and suffering pour out of you in your own personal form of art, rather it be laying a brick or painting a mosaic. Remember Nina Simone, Lebron James, Kobe Byrant, Shaquille Oneal, Michael Jordan, Kanye West, Maya Angelou, Richard Wright, The Jackson Family, Hot Cheetos Founder Richard Montanez, Simone Biles, Jim Carrey, Jack Ma, J.K. Rowling, and even Vans Creator James and Paul Van Doren.

Having a survivalist mindset keeps you on your toes, so always consider that we have had famines, hurricanes, earthquakes and its best to know how to handle these situations as well as obtaining food in national emergencies. The owner of Paul Mitchell sold products out of his car and created Patron. Manny Khoshbin and Jim Carrey and are now conglomerates for change. Rocky was created with less than $100 to Sylvester Stallone’s name. Steve Harvey at one time could barely afford food and saw the Apollo as an opportunity to grow and now inspires billions worldwide. Jim Rohn and Tim Grover are some of the toughest individuals out there. They are sharks on land. I have two copies of Relentless, showing the relentless drive both Michael Jordan and Tim Grover making winning non-negotiable. You want to be unstoppable toward your true passion and never let one person tell you have too big of a dream. Omar the Rockstar on Instagram had only one chance to skateboard to Grant Cardone’s speaking event and get the advice of a lifetime. Render any naysayer as discouraging words. A survivalist mindset is also looking for the healthiest way to keep your mind and body. Look into obtaining natural water sources, food sources, and securing shelter. Read up on any facts about pollutants and contaminants in food. Research your products in depth to know what you’re really buying. Research safety methods for yourself, family, and home as this is one of the key steps in Maslow’s Hierarchy. Always know your surroundings, don’t trust every media source, and research EMF exposures to resolve cognitive dissonance, and know how your personal products are made. Stress can play a big toll on your brain and heart. Managing stress can put less load on your heart. Your cardiovascular and respiratory health goes hand and hand with pursuing longevity.

Knowing your rights allows the average person to be able to locate, read and understand the legal jargon displayed in any format within the country they live in. In past times this, form of legalese hasn’t been very transparent and am working to fix that immediately for everyone to know when they are being protected or violated by the law. There has been a tsunami of misconduct done from law enforcement. Indigenous and American African’s face disproportionally high rates of harassment. Forty percent of the American African population has been incarcerated. In Canada, residential schools saw the mass slaughter of indigenous children buried under schools and houses of worship. Big names like Jay Z removed the law allowing law enforcement to stop and frisk random people in New York. Growing up, I only saw people of color targeted by police in Florida. Rick Ross could confirm this. Meek Mill was arrested and imprisoned in New York for an F1 felony of reckless endangerment just for riding a dirt bike. I vowed to protect anyone being violated and exploited because of the color of their skin. One day I hope to personally work on cases targeting young people of color as I see this as a form ethnic genocide. My neighbor was sent to jail for littering. If I can simplify law, I can make generations of people avoid wrongful conviction. I want people to have the same power as the people their officials to serve as checks and balances. When I was sick at school and had a note to go home, police still stopped me. I have been stopped a million times for “random checks” and have even been targeted by a law enforcement officer who wanted to build a case on me due to islamophobia of all brown people. This lead me to study law at fourteen years old to protect my communities from tyrannical action. I studied Florida statues for extraordinary long length of time. I will never stop learning my rights.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am always looking to expand my brand, have more relationships with people, and join different events based on charitable action, I want to meet anyone regardless of fame and high power, just to sit down and share a laugh. I value genuine time with others. I really want to collaborate with Janet Jackson, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Emma Watson, Erin Heatherton, Taylor Hill, Behati Prinsloo, Lindsey, Ellingson, Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Arianna Grande, Kendall Jenner, Victoria Justice, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Jenna Ortega, Taylor Swift, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Trinity Rodman, Nicole Peter, Cameron Brink, Winona Ryder and for the guys the Rock any US president or Canadian Prime Minister willing to collaborate to unify our Country more than anything on here. Meeting supreme court justices or congressman would make my whole life! I would love to do a collaboration with Jeff Bezos, Steve Balmer, Sergey Brin, Larry Page, Larry Ellison, Bernard Arnault, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Micheal Jordan, Travis Scott, or the founders and heirs of Youtube, Alilbaba, Walmart, Google, Netflix, Aramco, Apple, Stategrid Corp of China, Home Depot, United Health Group, CVS, Sinopec Group, Any wall street investor, or member of any royal family member around the world such as Prince Harry. Collaborations with elite performing people who won categories in the Grammies, Oscars, and Olympics because iron shapes iron. I would like to see if I can collaborate with anyone in nations such as Europe, Sweden, France, Norway, Netherlands. Anyone on the Forbes list or thirty under thirty I value highly. Modeling companies with designer brands could help with design and fitting of my outfits so I am always well styled. Same with private jet companies like gulfstream and car companies like Mclaren, Rolls Royce, Koenigsegg, Ferrari, Lamborghini. What would make the most difference thought would be collaborations with charity owners and civil rights leaders. This would directly align with what I could to in this world to help others.
