Meet Faith Dionne

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Faith Dionne a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Faith, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I’ve learned resilience from navigating past experiences. Hard times are a good teacher, and pushing through them makes the next challenge seem more surmountable. I can look back at my own history for encouragement.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I have spent my career making my own dreams come true. I’m a product person at heart and develop things I wish existed or improve products that I use regularly. Dappled Tonic waters are the only local craft tonic water in the Pacific Northwest! They are more delicious, unique, and useful than the global brands that are widely available. It’s been delightful to show folks how good tonic water can be!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Learning how to learn is fundamental. Learning is a skill that gets easier as we practice.

Knowing that you can learn anything gives confidence to start something. Even hard stuff gets easier once you have some experience and tricks.

Constantly be seeking advice and wisdom from the people around you and folks in front of you. Most of them are happy to help you!

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

My mother took on many different jobs and positions in our community. If she had an idea she knew she could figure out how to make it work! She continues to be a lifelong learner into her seventies.
