Meet Celeste Polanco

We were lucky to catch up with Celeste Polanco recently and have shared our conversation below.

Celeste, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my parents. Growing up, there was no job they were too proud to do. I watched them make several sacrifices to make ends meet, and I believe it was vital for me to see that. It showed me that no job is too big or small and nothing is handed to you if so, you probably should question it.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a content creator and writer. What excites me to show up every day is the women who find joy in my story. My goal is always for my viewers to be able to relate to and feel inspired by my content and writing.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Although I don’t really use my degree, college helped me a lot. I learned how to be disciplined and meet deadlines, two skills that have gotten me where I am today. In addition to college, I was also a server for four years, which taught me patience and people skills—something that I use when collaborating with other people becomes difficult.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

My therapist 100%. No one tells you this, but most of our challenges are mental. Once I learned to get past a lot of mental blocks I had, I was able to tackle a lot and learn to collaborate in a big way.
