Meet Lynne Wadsworth

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lynne Wadsworth a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lynne, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

When I started out on this journey, my self-esteem and confidence were pretty low. This is something that I have worked on over the years through educational means, prayer, being around positive influencers, and having mentors in my life who helped me see how valuable I am and how valuable my work is. My confidence has built as I stepped out and tried different things, and certainly with having clients whom I have helped over the years has greatly impacted my confidence and self-esteem. I did mindset work which was very impactful..

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am originally from England and married someone in the American Air Force and traveled all over Europe and the United States. My husband is a native Floridian and this was his last posting. We stayed here and are blessed to have our immediate family still living within a 10 mile radius of us.

I was a singer for most of my life, starting at age 5, and this was something I absolutely loved and dreamt of doing as a career. My life did not go the way I expected with a husband and children which were my main focus.

My business as a health coach started 14 years ago. I had been a yo-yo dieter all my life, a sugar addict, and had no concept of the harm I was doing to my body. Because of my own health issues and the hard road I had walked to learn there’s is a way to live with good health, lots of energy, and a way to prevent some diseases, I wanted to pass on my knowledge and all the things I’d learned along the way. I love to see people have their own “ah-ha” moments, when it just clicks and they know things can change and be different for them. I work with women who are in the midlife and menopausal season of life. Things are constantly changing during this period of time, and I love to encourage them to make some necessary changes in their lives so that they can live a long and healthy life with joy.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

For me, the biggest thing I learned is how holistic living can be so impactful. I not only learned how to eat properly, but holistically, we take into account the whole person and our entire lifestyle. This type of lifestyle helped me go from daily debilitating migraines to a life where only barometric pressure changes impact me. I also lowered cholesterol and controlled hypertension. I encourage women to make small changes, one at a time, which leads to a big change. We need to be aware of other factors in our life as well as food. Things such as stress, sleep, movement, and learning to listen to our body. A lot of people feel overwhelmed when they embark on their journey which is why I love the step-by-step approach as it reinforces one habit to change, and then we move onto the next. These then become part of our daily routine and lead to big changes. We all “fall off the wagon” once in a while, but I’ve learned and like to pass on that you quickly dust yourself off, and get right back on. Our healthy lifestyle is an ever-evolving process.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

Apart from their support in the music world, my parents taught me consistency, work ethics, life ethics, and how to be part of the solution in life’s circumstances. I was lucky to have parents who loved me and always encouraged me to be better and strive for the best.
