Meet Himanshu

We recently connected with Himanshu and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Himanshu , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from a deep sense of commitment to my word. It started when I promised my senior that I would change myself and become fit. At that time, I didn’t want to face him again as my old self. But when I did, I felt disappointed in myself—that moment gave me my initial motivation.

Later, I shared my fitness goal with a friend, expecting support, but instead, he told me I couldn’t do it. That hurt more than anything. From that point on, whenever I felt low or doubted myself, I reminded myself of two things: first, I refuse to be someone who breaks a promise, and second, even if I fail at my fitness goal, I will not let my ego be crushed.

This mindset kept me going. Over time, what started as proving others wrong became proving to myself that I could do more than I ever thought possible. Resilience, for me, is about keeping my word—both to others and, most importantly, to myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Himanshu Rana, a fitness and longevity coach and the founder of Building Body That Last. My journey started from a personal transformation—I was once overweight, but through resilience and discipline, I changed my body and mindset. Now, my mission is to help others achieve the same: a strong, functional body that lasts a lifetime.

Building Body That Last is not just a fitness program; it’s a complete system focused on longevity. We emphasize four key pillars—exercise, nutrition, recovery, and stress management—to help people improve their healthspan, not just their lifespan. What excites me most is seeing people break their limitations and build lifelong health habits.

What’s New?

We recently introduced a new pricing model to make the program more accessible:

The Foundation ($69 one-time) – Lifetime access to core content on fitness, nutrition, stress, and sleep.

Community Blueprint ($180 for 6 months / $300 for 1 year) – Private community, weekly live Q&A, and accountability challenges.

Total Transformation ($180 or $300 + $49 one-time fee) – Includes lifetime content access, community support, and priority Q&A sessions.

My goal is to make fitness simple, sustainable, and effective so that people can live longer, healthier lives.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three key qualities played the biggest role in my transformation: discipline, resilience, and understanding the science of longevity.

1. Discipline – The Power of Showing Up

At the beginning, motivation got me started, but discipline kept me going. There were days when I didn’t feel like working out or eating right, but I had to remind myself—I promised myself this change. Sticking to the plan, even when I didn’t see immediate results, was what made the difference.

Advice: Start small but stay consistent. Whether it’s working out for just 10 minutes a day or improving one meal at a time, consistency beats intensity. Build habits that you can sustain for life.

2. Resilience – Pushing Through Doubt and Setbacks

There were times I wanted to quit. When my friend doubted me, it hurt, but instead of letting it break me, I used it as fuel. There were also plateaus where progress stalled, but I refused to give up. Resilience meant pushing through failures and trusting the process.

Advice: Expect setbacks. The key is to see them as part of the journey, not as reasons to stop. When doubt creeps in, remind yourself why you started.

3. Understanding Longevity – Working Smarter, Not Just Harder

In the beginning, I thought fitness was just about losing weight or building muscle. But as I learned more, I realized that true health is about longevity—keeping the heart, lungs, muscles, and mind strong for life. That’s why I created Building Body That Last, to share this science-backed approach.

Advice: Learn the “why” behind what you do. Don’t just follow random workouts or diets—understand how exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress impact your body long-term. Knowledge will help you avoid shortcuts and build a body that lasts.

At the end of the day, your journey is unique, but these three qualities can help anyone succeed. Be disciplined, stay resilient, and always keep learning.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

In the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been my mindset.

When I transformed myself from being overweight to fit, my mindset shift was straightforward: If I do everything right, I’ll get results—no matter what others do. My progress depended only on my actions.

But starting a business and helping others introduced a new layer of mindset growth. Here, success isn’t just about my actions; other people’s decisions, reactions, and the environment also play a role. At first, this was frustrating—realizing that no matter how hard I worked, external factors could slow me down.

But over time, I learned a crucial lesson: while external factors can slow you down, they can’t stop you if you stay consistent. If I keep doing the right things long enough, I will see results. And when I look back, I’m already ahead of where I was a year ago.

In the end, it’s all about starting today. Because no matter when you begin, a year from now, you’ll either be glad you started—or wishing you had.
