Meet Nadia Williams

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nadia Williams a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadia , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

My resilience is rooted in my faith and the deep understanding that life is what we make it. From a young age, I had to fend for myself and others, building my independence early on. I have faced countless challenges drowning in bills, near eviction, being unappreciated and used by those closest to me, and even experiencing homelessness, living in my car for months after moving to LA. I have endured dark cycles of depression and even thoughts of suicide, reaching a point where life felt too hard to keep going. For years, I struggled mentally, trying to navigate adulthood while carrying the weight of my past.

But at some point, I got tired of struggling. I got tired of the negativity, the judgment, and the pain. I chose to shift my mindset to forgive myself and others, to heal deep mental and childhood wounds, and to grow into a stronger, more positive version of myself. Through faith, self-work, and perseverance, I became the person who no longer faced struggle, even when I didn’t have it all together. Now, I am determined to make something of myself and use my voice to guide and inspire others. We are given one life, and I am committed to living it fully, fearlessly, and abundantly.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am an artist, a creator, and a force of resilience. Dancing is my entire life, it’s the foundation of everything I do, the way I express my soul, my struggles, and my victories. My love for dance as an art form has made me multi-faceted, pushing me to evolve beyond movement and into storytelling, film, and creative direction.

I moved to LA to fully step into my artistry, to challenge myself, and to build a career that reflects my truth. I’ve been told countless times that dance isn’t a real career, that I can’t do it forever, that the industry only values youth. But I refuse to let anyone define my limits. I am here to create my own path. I’ve survived homelessness, financial struggles, deep depression, and moments where life felt unbearable. Yet, through every dark cycle, I found my way back stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever.

Now, I am expanding my brand into film, building Dozen Rose Productions, where I create short films and visuals that depict the struggles of everyday life, how we break, how we heal, and how we rise again. I am also stepping into teaching choreography, sharing my love for dance with others in LA. My journey is about more than just surviving it’s about thriving, inspiring, and proving that passion and resilience can break every barrier.

I am here to create. I am here to evolve. And I am here to show the world that art, movement, and self-expression are limitless.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Forgiveness as the First Step to Healing – I had to learn to forgive myself and others to truly begin the healing process. Carrying past pain only kept me stuck, but once I released resentment, I freed myself to grow into the person I was meant to be.

2. Letting Go Without Fear – I’ve learned that not everything and everyone is meant to stay, no matter how long they’ve been in my life. Letting go, whether of people, places, or situations has been necessary for my evolution. I trust that releasing what no longer serves me opens the door to what is truly aligned with my purpose.

3. Shifting My Mindset Toward Positivity & Balance – I made the choice to release negativity and create balance through meditation, self-reflection, and intentional living. I give myself grace, lead with pure intentions, never judge others, and embrace freedom in my mind, body, and spirit.

4. Holding Myself Accountable – Growth requires honesty. I take full accountability for my actions, my mindset, and the energy I bring into my life. I don’t wait for circumstances to change I shift my perspective, put in the work, and take responsibility for creating the life I want.

My advise to anyone people early on their journey is to :

1. Forgive & Heal
Healing starts with forgiveness of yourself, of others, and of the past. Holding onto pain only weighs you down. Let go, release, and give yourself the grace to grow.

2. Be Willing to Let Go
Not everyone and everything is meant to stay in your life. It’s hard to walk into your purpose while holding onto what no longer serves you. Letting go isn’t loss it’s making space for something better.

3. Shift Your Mindset
Your mindset shapes your reality. Speak life over yourself, release negativity, and find balance through meditation, prayer, or whatever keeps you centered. You have the power to create your own path.

4. Take Accountability
No one is coming to save you, you have to take responsibility for your growth. Stop waiting for the perfect moment, stop making excuses, and take action. The life you want starts with the decisions you make today.

5. Move with Purpose & Intentions
Lead with pure intentions, and don’t let the fear of judgment hold you back. Live freely, express yourself fully, and never dim your light for anyone.

6. Trust Your Journey
Struggles will come, but they do not define you. Stay grounded in faith, keep pushing forward, and trust that everything is happening for you, not to you. Your breakthrough is on the other side of your persistence.

Your path is yours alone, own it, embrace it, and make it everything you envision.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am actively seeking collaborations in modeling, print campaigns, dance performances, music video features, and all things film including acting, podcast appearances, and creative directing. My goal is to widen my reach, expand my artistry, and build genuine connections with like-minded creatives who share a passion for storytelling and self-expression.

I thrive in spaces where creativity flows freely, whether in front of the camera, on stage, or behind the scenes bringing a vision to life. I’m looking to connect with brands, artists, filmmakers, choreographers, and industry professionals who value authenticity, movement, and visual storytelling.

Beyond just booking gigs, I want to cultivate meaningful collaborations that align with my energy, purpose, and artistic vision. If you’re looking for someone versatile, driven, and passionate about creating impactful work, let’s connect and bring something powerful to life.
