Brandon , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Building confidence and self-esteem came through experience, persistence, and a strong belief in the value my business provides. When I started Pittsburgh Package Pros, I had to step outside my comfort zone—whether it was pitching my services, handling customer concerns, or learning the ins and outs of marketing on a budget. Each successful installation and satisfied customer reinforced my abilities. I also made a point to continually educate myself, refining my skills and learning from mistakes. Over time, seeing my business grow and receiving positive feedback gave me the confidence to know I could handle challenges and continue scaling my company.

At Pittsburgh Package Pros, we specialize in assisting our clients with post-purchase needs, such as mounting new TVs, assembling furniture, and tackling various home projects.

What excites us most about our work is the opportunity to bring convenience and satisfaction to our customers’ lives. Each project allows us to transform a task that might seem daunting into a seamless experience, enhancing the comfort and functionality of their homes.

We’re also thrilled to announce that we have recently expanded our services to include complete kitchen installations and appliance setups. This expansion enables us to offer a more comprehensive range of solutions, ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service for all their home improvement needs.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Vision and Goal Setting: From the outset, having a clear vision of what I wanted to achieve was crucial. This vision guided the establishment of measurable goals and the strategies to attain them. 

2. Effective Management Skills: Managing both the operational aspects of the business and managing your time effectively requires strong organizational abilities. These skills ensure that the business runs smoothly and that you can remain motivated and productive.

3. Commitment to Customer Service: Prioritizing customer satisfaction has been central to our operations. Understanding and addressing client needs fosters trust and encourages repeat business.

And my advice for someone just starting out would be to develop strong customer service skills, such as active listening, empathy, and clear communication. Building rapport with customers and effectively handling feedback can significantly enhance your business’s reputation and client retention.

By focusing on these areas, you can lay a strong foundation for your business and navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship more effectively.
