Meet Candice Cherry

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Candice Cherry a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Candice, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
Creativity for me is always an ongoing process, and for those who know me I’m always bouncing ideas off of my friends and family. I surround myself with passionate and creative people who are hard-working and determined to help me pursue my dreams. Throughout the years my customers have given me some of the best ideas and support, and I’ve learned not to be afraid of new ideas and take risk . I believe some of my greatest ideas have come to me when I least expected them. My wish is to continue to add a little sparkle wherever we go!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I started The Queens’ Jewels in 2014 from my basement table after I had an Aha! Moment while attending a gorgeous wedding. Everything around me was sparkling except the wine glasses on the table. I took my diamond earring off and raised it to the glass and guess what? The rest was history! I looked at my husband and said, “This is it! These glasses will bring smiles to people’s faces, and this idea will change the world!”I began hand-crafting each glass with the help of my husband, two children, family, and a few friends. I went from exhibiting locally around my hometown of St. Louis to the big stage of the national-international gift markets in Dallas, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. Now with a Director of sales and Social Media content manager we are now expanding all aspects of the business. The Queens’ Jewels was founded upon the idea that wine glasses should be beautiful and full of sparkle to capture moments in time and life’s most special celebrations. I design each jewel to uniquely represent individual personalities, spark smiles and conversations, and to be given as gifts to be treasured forever.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe you have to have a good work ethic and determination to succeed, Leadership, and networking. I love getting to know my customers on a personal level. My best advice is always be present, even if you have the people in place you can’t let other people run your business.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Over the past twelve months my company has experienced tremendous growth. We are spreading the sparkle with the addition of several new showroom locations; which include the Dallas Marketcenter, AmericasMart in Atlanta, Las Vegas worldmarket center, and Minneapolis Mart. We also have sales representation in the Northeast for a total of 80 sales reps. Our glasses have been featured on ABC’s Good Morning America and local news stations in the St. Louis area. With all of this exciting news we are excited to announce that we have hired a Director of Sales, a Social Media Manager, and a licensing agent.
