We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dennis Giannetti. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dennis below.
Dennis, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
When I was graduating high school, I had a last conversation with my guidance counselor about my options once I graduate. I NEVER expected what he would say to me that day. It was ONE sentence, but it packed a punch! He said: “Based on your grades and SAT scores, you probably shouldn’t apply to college. Granted, I wasn’t sure even wanted to go, but this was a statement that was telling me I really couldn’t at this point. I told my parents. Mom, who was a successful real estate agent and Dad, who built a successful business from the bottom up. Mom suggested getting my real estate license. And I did. I was eighteen years old and a licensed Real Estate Agent.
Here is where the story takes a twist. I wasn’t sure this was what I wanted to do, but all the same, I knew it may be my best option. To create a sense of motivation and purpose for me, Mom took me to a seminar held by a gentleman named Richard Flint. I was so impressed and more so, found such clarity that day. I heard what he was saying, which to me, made so much more sense that what I learned in school. More important I watched as he helped people get past barriers and breakthrough limitations that they were holding themselves back.
This is when it hit me. This will be my purpose. I not only want to personally and professionally develop my skills and abilities, but I also truly wanted to make a difference in peoples. And this would be how I did it. As I began that journey at a young 18, my father gave me a very useful piece of advice going forward. He said: “It’s not where you end up, it’s that you show up”. And since then, that has been what I do for every audience, company, coaching client, couples etc. I show up and partner with them to go from where they are to where they want to be.
How do I know this is my purpose? Because the story above started in 1988 and I haven’t looked back since to this very moment.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My primary focus is to guide people to “Build A Life They Don’t Need a Vacation From”. (C) 2022 To interpret it more specifically, I believe that a vacation should be celebration, NOT an escape from our lives! Is it working? Absolutely! I have given speeches in which participants level of energy went from a 2 to 20! People would speak with me after the speech and share with me different points where something I had said, lead to an “in the moment breakthrough” that was holding them back for weeks.
I have also personally coached hundreds of individuals, entrepreneurs and couples who were stuck, regressing, and not living their best life or succeeding in their professional world. In so many of those sessions, we were able to breakthrough (can be done in one session) WHAT was holding them back, WHY they were choosing to stay in that situation, and HOW to take action and create the results they truly wanted.
Now, most of my clients have been entrepreneurs. Many of those individuals or companies have been in sales and often, in the real estate business (full circle)!
At the end of the day, the people I get the pleasure to serve are usually know what their life or business conditions are, and where they want them to be. My partnership with them, is to guide them to what I call “Your life in 3B”. The quick summary would be”
1. Break Up with Their BS (Belief Systems) that are holding them back.
2. Breakdown what the actions are they need to commit to doing consistently and close that gap.
3. Breakthrough by creating a compelling future that leads them to the life, relationships, and professional success they want.
Something NEW: In 2025 we have launched TWO great programs that will allow us to reach more people who want fast quality and consistent results in the areas that matter to them most,
First, we have a Monthly & Complimentary Collective Wisdom Mastermind that brings people together in a community (based on a theme) that that are able to mastermind, collaborate, and be coached on. We wanted to have something can come to increase the quality of life and business that is no risk, high reward.
The second, and highly effective program we have is what we call the 90 for 90 Results Coaching Partnership. In this membership program, clients get personal attention (coaching sessions) up to 3 times per month, as well as a small group (usually 3) brief monthly momentum celebration where they can share our success, build connection and gain some extra support on their journey.
Of course, we continue to run sales trainings, profession speaking, zoom driven certification programs (business/sales), amazing mastermind experiences (personal or professional, and Private VIP retreats (personal and Professional).
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Great question.
Qualities:
1. Empathy
2. Resiliency
3. The Ability to Connect
Three skills:
1. Professional speaking skills.
2. Professional coaching skills
3. Business Skills (can’t run a business without them)
4. Program design
Areas of Knowledge:
1. Know Your People (that you serve)
2. Know Your People’s Outcomes, and Dreams
3. Know where your industry is, where it is going, and where you want to be in the future of it.
How can they improve or develop in these areas and this business:
Bottom line, it comes down to 3 things.”
1. Know what you want
2. Know why you want it
3. MOST Important, know HOW to get the tools, resources, skills, knowledge
Here is the catch on people interested in this field can benefit the most effectively and efficiently. Finid Role Models and or Mentors that can share with you how to succeed in this kind of business.
In addition to my early exposure and opportunities to Richard Flint, I have had the pleasure of being mentored by:
– Bob Burg, International Speaker, Author of the best-selling Go-Giver Series of Books. I went on to become a certified Go-Giver Speaker and Coach
-Tony Robbins who is known worldwide. I have been to 7 of his live events, including UPW, Date with Destiny, etc. MORE importantly, I was trained specifically through Robbins-Madanes Coaching which, taught me a specific system of coaching strategies and skills that Tony Robbins himself has used with the clients he coaches,
-I have also earned a master’s degree in training and development as well as Negotiation and Mediation.
If a person isn’t ready for those types of investments, I recommend books, YouTube, perhaps attending a seminar or 2, or 3, or more when you can. A mentor is beyond the best path one can take though if you want to be at your best
If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
Personally, I believe everyone (adult age) should live like this no matter where they are in their life right now. If you are 31, live like you only have a decade left. Same if you are 27, 46, 55, or whatever the age is.
Too often we are so busy trying to make a living, that we forget the joys of truly “living our life”.
As a summary though to put contact to that., I would offer this.:
Live everyday with anticipation that something good will happen or that you will do something good (or both)
LOVE everyday those people you are most connected too. We won’t always have that chance, so take them when you can. So, tell them, show them often. (SIDE NOTE: Don’t forget to love yourself everyday too –be it a cup of coffee or taking a day for yourself.)
Learn everyday….and not just academic or practical information. Learn something new. Challenge yourself to do something or go somewhere you haven’t yet,
Listen more than you talk when feasible. It’s amazing how much more you connect to others when you show you are more interested in them than trying to be interesting to them
Look at it this way….I once heard that:
“The definition of Hell is that on the day you are going to die, you meet the person you could have been”
Maybe that is true, maybe it is not. But if I only have a decade left, I would rather LIVE IT UP NOW, than find out later.
