Meet Jonathan DiMattei

We were lucky to catch up with Jonathan DiMattei recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jonathan, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I gained resilience from growing up in a strong/large family with core values. After high school, I joined the US Army as an Intelligence Analyst. From there, core values and perseverance only heightened.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

There’s something about 3D printing that truly captivates me. I love the feeling of taking an idea that’s just floating in my mind and turning it into a tangible object. It’s like holding creativity in my hands. The precision, the endless possibilities, and the way I can customize designs to fit exactly what I envision—it’s all so satisfying.
It’s not just a hobby; it’s a tool for problem-solving and innovation. Whether it’s prototyping, fixing broken parts, or creating unique pieces no one else has, 3D printing gives me this amazing sense of control and accomplishment. Plus, the thrill of seeing the machine in action—the whirring and layering—makes it all the more exciting.
There’s a little bit of magic in watching my ideas come to life. It’s a blend of science, technology, and art, and I can’t get enough of it. It feels limitless, and that’s what keeps drawing me back.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I and others feel I am unique in the sense that I am self-taught and can adapt to virtually anything I put my hands on, and quickly. There are many, but three of my best skills would be Engineering, Graphic Design, and Web Development. The best advice I could give others is to never doubt yourself or stop creating. Follow your dreams to the end and they will come true.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Our most desired collaborations are with Aerospace Companies, Manufactures, Engineering Companies, and School Systems.
