Meet Brittany Hines

We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Hines recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Brittany with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

A place I never want to see again: Me living in ignorance. Not knowing that I can literally create the life I want using my emotions, thoughts, and actions. I get up everyday at midnight and take action.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

The main thing I do is get it done! I maintain an awareness of opportunities and evaluate thier potential alignment with the BHAG. I’ve learned to not jump at every shiny new opportunity before verifying that it’s congruent with my Why. I ring the bell everyday and pay for all of my lessons because entrepreneurship is a school and I am forever a pupil. Choosing this route requires the development of an extra layer of skin which I moisturize with resilience right before I spray on a fragrance called Courage. Looking good, smelling better, for this date with my boyfriend, the challenges. Meanwhile, my ex is stalking me! I told Depression it was over, lose my number, blocked him on everything!! Yet and still I find this creep peeking in my window.
I’m not hiding, I’m outside. Fighting everyday to materialize a vision that can only be understood by those who are able to truly see me. That’s what’s invigorating about building the BHAG, the team. The magnetism of the concept is attracting my lessons and it’s leaders. I’m grateful for both. The lessons are helping to refine our processes as we Grow Through the less than glamorous part of the grind. I have no problem telling my truth because I’m immune to judgement. With setbacks and delays come the opportunity to build the confidence for the next attempt. Emotional regulation is on the white board, and I am at the front of the class, in my residency, preparing to be awarded my PhD of #emReg. It’s not just what’s next for BHAG that is important to me at this point. Leadership requires the maintenance of your energy to correctly reach those you hope to teach. A lot has gone into research and development in preparation to launch our public offering.

Privately, we are launching new campaigns and generating the capital as well as pursuing partnerships that will strengthen the position of the market. A case of a BIG idea that deserves its due diligence in order to correctly serve the communities we will impact with its presence. More details are on the horizon for the market project launch and our vendors are anxious to subscribe.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I’m going to say it louder for the people in the back, Emotional Regulation #emReg is the sharpest sword I have in my arsenal. I can’t expect others to operate at the level of Emotional IQ that I do because it’s not taught in the normal curriculum. Another rare pair of qualities that should be served in the cafeteria are Integrity and Accountability. If we could start early with a balanced diet that includes those vital nutrients the entire world would be paved with those golden roads we only hope to see in the afterlife. Aside from being raised with respect to the development of these traits prior to the settling of the habitual brain, one could choose to educate themselves on these and put them into practice in their lives when inevitably presented with opportunities to do so.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

I know it’s quite normal for people to shout out to their parents in this context or whoever raised them accrediting them for Everything they have become. What I’ve found is that is a partial truth. To become truly successful requires a definition that can only be rendered meaningful by the person who hopes to attain it. That “Hope” is residual from the environment we are raised in; weather its hope to be like the people who were our examples, or, to not be like them. Everything else is up to you. To build on your innate strengths within and use them to alchemize your past into a fruitful present. Or if one chooses to strengthen thier weaknesses and allow them to degrade their potential, thier parents are not to blame. As for mine, both of my parents provided me with everything they had available to encourage me to make my life whatever I wanted it to be. That autonomy reinforced the passion I have for entrepreneurial endeavors and the pride I take in individualism. Mom and Pops kept us fed with home cooked meals that possessed the vital nutrients mentioned above: Integrity and Accountability. They didn’t accept failure or defeat in the face of thier challenges and clothed us in an armor of strength rooted in love. This deep love expressed itself as the consistency required to provide stability. They stood on business with all 20 toes and raised Big Ol Steppers. In these shoes, I move through my life with boldness and determination. The only thing I lack is fear.
