We were lucky to catch up with Everything & More Podcast With Jeannette And Shai recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Everything & More Podcast, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
The idea for Everything & More Podcast started on the balcony of our previous shared home. We were deep in conversation when a group of strangers asked, “Are you two on a podcast?” That moment sparked something real.
Friends had already encouraged us to share our unfiltered takes, inspiring perspectives, and hilarious stories. That day, we realized our connection wasn’t just something we felt, others felt it too.
Rooted in real experiences and meaningful conversations, Everything & More Podcast became our purpose: a platform to connect, give back, and create space for stories that deserve to be heard.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
We’re Jeannette “J” and Shai, creative storytellers with purpose and the co-founders of the Everything & More Podcast. What started as a spontaneous conversation on the balcony of our previous shared home has grown into a platform rooted in connection, authenticity, and bold conversations.
Our friendship first began through a shared passion for giving back J started helping Shai with local charity events, which naturally led to more time spent together and a deeper connection. That foundation of purpose and collaboration helped shape the soul of our podcast. Since then, Shai has continued to channel that energy into powerful advocacy work, focusing on human trafficking awareness. Her work in the space even led her to become one of the executive producers of a film inspired by the same cause.
Everything & More Podcast, we believe in bringing the mic to people who truly deserve it. Our guests aren’t just random voices they are global artists, activists, and creatives, many of whom are close friends, whose hard work and inspiring stories need to be heard. Shai’s Rolodex of incredible people continues to grow, and she’s dedicated to giving them the platform they deserve, shining a light on their valuable contributions to the world.
Everything & More is about the real, the raw, and the ridiculously relatable from global dating stories and personal growth to travel adventures and deep conversations with fascinating people. We’re proud to create a space where listeners feel seen, heard, and reminded that they’re not alone.
What sets our brand apart is our ability to blend purpose with personality. We’re not afraid to talk about the messy, beautiful parts of life and we do it all with heart, humor, and a deep respect for real-life stories.
We’re also just getting started with some exciting new projects, which include our merch with our tagline and signatures to live by, and dating profile glow-up service. As we have closed out Season 1, we’re looking forward to an even bolder Season 2 with new guests, expanded creative projects, and future live event experiences. Everything & More Podcast is more than a podcast… it’s a movement, and we’re just getting started!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back on our journey, the three most important qualities and skills that have been impactful for us are:
Authenticity: Staying true to who we are has been essential in building a genuine connection with ourselves and our audience. Being authentic allows us to share our experiences, values, and lessons in a way that resonates with others. Our advice? Learn how to hold space for yourself to build the confidence needed to be your authentic self in every environment. The people who connect with your message will do so because of your realness, not because you’re trying to be something you’re not.
Connection: Shai is truly a “Woman of the People,” surrounded by diverse walks of life from both the US and internationally. She has an incredible ability to connect, learn from, and inspire those around her. J, with her knack for engaging with anyone, helps create meaningful conversations that make people feel heard, understood, and valued. Together, they spark dialogue that bridges gaps and creates spaces for real connection. For those early in their journey, our advice is to prioritize understanding others, cultivating empathy, and fostering spaces where genuine conversations can happen. It’s these moments that build lasting relationships and open doors.
Ongoing Education: Education is a continuous journey, and we believe learning never stops, whether it’s about the world, ourselves, or the people around us. Growth comes when we remain open to new information, conversations, and experiences. Shai’s diverse network has exposed us to a wide range of parties, events, and cultural spaces that consistently open our eyes to new perspectives and important issues different groups care about. On the personal side, we’re both committed to self-work, whether it’s through reading, staying active with sports and exercise, exploring health and wellness, or even deep-diving into food, skincare, and the daily challenges that shape us. For anyone just starting out, our advice is to embrace curiosity. Stay open, be intentional, and don’t be afraid to evolve, you never know where that mindset might lead you.
For those early in their journey, focus on these qualities, embrace your authentic self, create meaningful connections, and stay committed to lifelong learning. These skills will serve as a solid foundation for success.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Biggest Area of Growth: Over the past 12 months, our biggest area of growth has been learning how to navigate evolving seasons, both personally and professionally, while still showing up with intention. We’ve built and launched an entire podcast from the ground up, started a website, and immersed ourselves in the world of technology, equipment, and storytelling. We’ve stepped into unfamiliar territory with confidence, constantly learning as we go, and discovering the importance of creating something that not only represents us but also inspires others to want to learn more about who we are and what we stand for.
This past year also fueled our desire to expand our network and build deeper, meaningful connections in a world that’s moving faster than ever. The biggest win? Realizing that growth doesn’t always have to be loud, sometimes it’s found in the quiet, consistent work and in the way we continue showing up with purpose.
