Meet Talese Nicole

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Talese Nicole. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Talese , thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

For a long time, I let that ‘who do you think you are?’ voice stop me from going after things. But therapy helped me realize I’m actually someone who’s kind, resourceful, and has a real gift for storytelling. I love helping people, and keeping all of that to myself wasn’t just fear—it was a disservice. Now I try to show up fully, even when doubt creeps in.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a writer that likes to dabble into the themes of psychological thriller, dark romance, and horror. I’m also a self-love coach. It might sound like an unexpected combo, but both sides are about digging into real emotions and the human experience. What excites me most is telling stories that hit deep and leave people thinking. This year, I’m releasing a new book about a woman who turns heartbreak into bloodshed—a serial killer who murders the men who break her heart. Dark, emotional, and a little twisted.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three biggest things that helped me were self-awareness, resilience, and storytelling. Learning who I am and how I move through the world gave me clarity. Resilience kept me going when doubt or rejection hit. And storytelling, both writing and sharing my truth, opened doors. For anyone just starting out, my advice is to stay curious about yourself, give yourself grace when it gets hard, and keep creating even when it’s messy. That’s where the magic is.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Honestly, my biggest area of growth this past year has been truly believing in my gift as a writer. Hearing from authors I’ve admired—like Samyra Alexander, Octavia Grant, Tanisha Stewart, and J.R. Mason—telling me they love my work and even mentoring me has been surreal. It really pushed me to step into this version of myself with more confidence. It’s been a game-changer.
