We were lucky to catch up with Latasha Autrey recently and have shared our conversation below.
Latasha , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic has been shaped by a combination of factors in my life. Firstly, I attribute a significant portion of my work ethic to my upbringing. Growing up I was raised in a single parent household ,my mother instilled in me the values of hard work, responsibility, and perseverance. She led by example, consistently demonstrating her own strong work ethic, and encouraged me to give my best effort in all my endeavors. My mother struggled raising 2 daughters on her own, yet my sister and I never felt the struggle. We never went hungry we always had a roof over our head and cloths on our back. Her guidance and support have been instrumental in shaping my approach to work.
Moreover, personal experiences have played a crucial role in developing my work ethic. Over the years, I have encountered various challenges and obstacles that have tested my determination and commitment. Through these experiences, I have learned the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the willingness to put in extra effort to achieve desired results. Each achievement, big or small, has further reinforced my work ethic and motivated me to continue striving for excellence.
Additionally, I have been fortunate to have mentors and role models who have influenced my work ethic. These individuals, whether teachers, supervisors, or successful professionals in my field, have inspired me with their dedication, expertise, and passion for their work. Observing their relentless pursuit of goals and their ability to overcome obstacles has been invaluable in shaping my own work ethic.
Furthermore, my education and professional experiences have significantly contributed to my work ethic. Throughout my academic journey and work endeavors, I have been exposed to challenging projects and responsibilities that demanded discipline, time management, and a strong work ethic. These experiences have taught me the importance of setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and consistently delivering high-quality work.
Lastly, my intrinsic motivation serves as a driving force behind my work ethic. I am genuinely passionate about what I do, and I find fulfillment in striving for excellence and making a meaningful impact. This intrinsic drive fuels my commitment to continuous improvement and pushes me to go above and beyond in my work.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
As a real estate agent and Financial Educator specializing in infinite banking and living benefits, my role is centered around helping clients achieve financial growth, security, and flexibility through strategic real estate investments and comprehensive life insurance coverage.
In the realm of real estate, I work closely with clients who are seeking to become home owners. I also work with clients who want to sell their home as well as invest in properties to build wealth to secure their financial future. I provide personalized guidance throughout the entire home buying process. This includes analyzing the market, identifying profitable opportunities, and conducting thorough due diligence on properties of interest. I guide clients in making informed decisions based on their investment goals, risk tolerance, and desired returns. Whether it’s residential, commercial, or investment properties, I help negotiate favorable deals, coordinate inspections and appraisals, and ensure smooth transactions. By leveraging my expertise in real estate, I aim to help clients make strategic investments that align with their financial objectives.
Furthermore, as a Financial Educator, I focus on providing comprehensive life insurance coverage that offers both protection and financial growth potential. I educate clients about the concept of infinite banking, which involves utilizing specially designed whole life insurance policies. These policies accumulate cash value over time, allowing clients to access funds through policy loans for various purposes, such as real estate investments, education expenses, or retirement planning. In addition, I emphasize the importance of living benefits in life insurance policies. Living benefits provide coverage for critical illness, disability, or long-term care needs, offering financial protection during challenging times while you’re living. By customizing life insurance policies with living benefits, I help clients secure comprehensive coverage that not only safeguards their loved ones’ future but also provides added flexibility and financial security for themselves.
My goal is to empower clients to make informed financial decisions. I provide personalized advice, analyze individual circumstances, and tailor solutions to meet their specific needs. I strive to help clients achieve their financial goals, protect their assets, and create a solid foundation for long-term financial security.”
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
For individuals who are early in their journey and seeking to develop or improve skills in their desired field I would say
1. Educate Yourself: Take the time to thoroughly understand the intricacies of the field you desire to be in. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Attend seminars, workshops, and conferences, and seek out reputable educational resources to expand your knowledge base. The more informed you are, the better equipped you’ll be to serve your clients effectively.
2. Cultivate Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication is essential in whatever field of work you decide to be in. Develop your ability to actively listen to people’s needs, ask pertinent questions, and clearly articulate complex concepts. Practice empathy and build trust by providing transparent and honest communication throughout the process.
3. Seek Mentorship: Look for experienced professionals in your field who can serve as mentors. A mentor can provide guidance, share their insights, and offer valuable advice based on their own experiences. Their mentorship can help you navigate challenges, avoid common pitfalls, and accelerate your learning curve.
Remember, building expertise and success in your desired field takes time and dedication. Embrace a growth mindset, be open to learning from your experiences, and consistently strive for improvement. By focusing on continuous development, providing excellent service, and maintaining strong professional ethics, you can establish a solid foundation for long-term success in your journey.
