Hi Brenda, thank you for joining us today and sharing your experiences and acquired wisdom with us. Burnout is a huge topic these days and so we’d love to kick things off by discussing your thoughts on overcoming or avoiding burnout

What help me me avoid burnout is a combination of continuous personal growth and intentional grounding. I strive to challenge myself, whether it’s through training for a marathon or pushing myself in other meaningful ways. At the same time, I prioritize tools to manage stress, like sound therapies and Reiki, which I practice on the Master . These practices have kept me grounded, especially in my role in healthcare, where I witnessed firsthand the toll burnout and stress can induce. Maintaining the balance between pushing forward and slowing down is key to staying resilient and present for myself and for those I serve

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Life can be very heavy, and having a space where people can stop, breath(pause) and reset and actually feel better – without medication – is incredibly powerful. Hospital are now becoming a little bit more understanding an alternative therapies (even though it has been around for thousands of years). Sound and vibrational therapy is such a fascinating and growing field.. It is especially fascinating breaking up scar tissue and improving stress. You’re not just bringing people peace and mind; you are helping their bodies too. The combination of science with a soul full human touch.
I am currently holding monthly group session at two locations . Each group session is designed to introduce people to the benefits of sound healing session. It is good for people to continue basis to see the benefits.
Meanwhile group session are great! I am also offering private sessions tailored to each client’s energetic needs . And I am so excited to be introducing that I will become a Biofied Tuner practitioner in the fall!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1.)Emotional Openness and vulnerability with honesty – Do no be afraid to feel deeply. We are all humans and not one of us are perfect. This will allow for deep and real connections with your clients.
2.)Curiosity and experimentation. I would naturally ask questions and try new things. By trying new things it fuels the learning.
3.)Life experiences is my teacher. I draw strength from wisdom and my personal jouney, letting the past shape my perspective and choices

The advice for folk is let things the journey evolve organically with some structure. I was very mindful on how quick or not so quick I started to get clients. Quality over quantity was my saying in the beginning.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

It has taking several years for me to figure out what works when I am feeling overwhelmed. Being in nature with my dog really helps, listen to sound healing bowls and or standng barefoot on the ground … standing barefoot can shift your nervous system. When I can not do that I have my back up plans and listen to some good music, sometimes breathwork by putting myself into a happy time in my life. But even when we have those tool, sometimes it’s hard to reach for them – or they do not work as well as usual.. That is okay too. It does not mean you failing. It means your are human.
Remember sometimes we treat other with more compassion than we do to ourselves.
