Meet Sherrie Storey

We recently connected with Sherrie Storey and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherrie, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my own self-worth, self respect, self esteem, caring about how I show up for myself and others in my circle and protection of my name. My name invaluable. I go above and beyond expectations.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a published author of 12 fiction novels since 2009, and my first film based on 1st novel titled: For Love or Money? was released 12/24/24 on Amazon Prime Tv, Fawesome Tv, Future Today & PlayNow media, with initial trailer views over 25K. The production was filmed in Atlanta by Jonathan Armour, An Open Gate Studios Film with an amazing cast and crew. I am currently writing novel 13 and planning 2026 projects in film and books in the near future. I believe once you believe in yourself, dream big, God will make it work no matter what obstacles you face along the way.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

3 most impactful things in my journey, Believe in yourself, trust the process and lean on those who respectfully have your best interests at heart (same goals, values, morals). Best advice: Do NOT give up and lean not unto your own understanding. God will place the right people around you to complete what He has instilled in you.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

Actually, Steve Harvey made this statement: “Don’t worry about the how you’re going to do it, just start!” This is how I approached my film production. I had no idea how I would finance my film, but I pulled from many other personal sources and it was paid for owing no one outside of my own personal finances.
